“Do you want to sleep with your wife on the first day? Don’t make it too nice!”
“Let your wife stay here as a night guard; sleeping on the floor is fine. It’s a bit unsafe with so many people in the hotel.”
“A rainy night, sharing the same room, a handsome mechanic and a beautiful Asian shopkeeper; let me take the first bite…”
“Baby is still young, I can’t sleep in the same room with a man, wuwuwu.”
The author has something to say: Unlocking new slices (applause).
Chapter 98: A Night of Terror at the Inn
Yan Chuan was momentarily taken aback.
He hadn’t even entered the room, but there were several rooms on the third floor, and Ash had a separate bedroom.
However, Ash was currently blocking his door, saying he wanted to sleep with him?
Yan Chuan pursed his lips.
The flickering yellow light of the gas lamp cast their shadows, intertwining into a thin line on the hallway wall.
Yan Chuan stood at the door, his palm resting on the door frame, the door half-open.
He was slender, with a pale, beautiful face. His delicate and stunning features were softened by the dim light, casting an elegant silhouette.
His rosy lips were pressed together, the corners slightly turned down.
They looked very soft and full, completely different from the cold, hard profiles of several men his age in the hotel.
The young staff member momentarily lost focus.
If it weren’t for that unruly brown-haired prospector bringing it up, he wouldn’t have realized that the Asian shopkeeper’s lips looked so… beautiful.
The soft and vivid lips, perfectly shaped, clearly seemed very kissable.
In his hesitation, he unconsciously pressed his lips together, revealing a vague and helpless expression of indecision.
Overall, he looked very… soft.
Soft and tender.
Ash looked at the frail figure of the black-haired shopkeeper, almost smaller than him, and couldn’t help but remember Vincent’s words.
That rude and lewd man said this black-haired Asian would probably feel softer than a southern girl.
Ash’s face suddenly flushed red.
Of course, he had never seen the southern girl Vincent mentioned; in his eyes, the young Asian shopkeeper was the most beautiful person he had ever seen.
So slender and delicate, with snow-white skin, it seemed like he would melt away with just a slight touch.
The much taller man stood half a meter away from him, raising a powerful arm, somewhat rudely blocking Yan Chuan.
Ash was very close to Yan Chuan, that youthful and handsome face right in front of him, where Yan Chuan could see the raised eyebrows, evergreen eyes, and the suddenly flushed cheeks.
Didn’t he just say he wanted to sleep in the same room with him?
“What’s wrong with you?” Yan Chuan asked, a bit confused.
Hearing Yan Chuan’s question, Ash came to himself and touched his reddened cheek, realizing how flustered he felt.
“It’s nothing!” To cover his embarrassment, the young green-eyed man raised his voice and changed the subject, “I just said we should sleep together tonight; they seem too dangerous.”
Ash poured out his thoughts, “They have guns, but the hotel’s guns can’t be used anymore. That man is staring at you… He definitely has bad intentions toward you, you can’t sleep alone.”
The young staff member was overenthusiastic, unconsciously leaning closer to him while speaking, almost completely closing that half-meter gap, nearly pinning the slender and beautiful Asian against the door.
“Stop!” Seeing Ash’s prominent nose almost touching his face, Yan Chuan quickly extended a hand, “Wait! Why is he staring at me?”
Was Ash referring to Duncan or someone else?
Yan Chuan was momentarily puzzled by Ash’s words.
He was eager to pull away from Ash, inadvertently opening the door gap wider.
“That Duncan,” hearing Yan Chuan’s question, Ash immediately began counting, “he’s the one who was bad-mouthing you, and then there’s that police officer!”
The former was something Yan Chuan could slightly understand, but the cop… Brandon?
Hadn’t he been trying to stop Duncan’s crimes just a moment ago?
Yan Chuan slightly furrowed his brows.
“Brandon?”
Ash nodded emphatically.
He seemed like he was complaining; perhaps it was due to his youth, this tall green-eyed staff member always seemed slightly immature, peculiar to his age.
“When Vincent said those things, he was staring at your mouth!” Ash shouted, somewhat indignantly, “He must be thinking about what Vincent said!”
Ash continued to elaborate.
“When you were talking to that guy, he was secretly watching you,” the young man looked aggrieved, even unwilling to say Brandon’s name, “He did it on purpose!”
Yan Chuan found it a bit amusing.
He first pulled Ash’s hand, indicating him not to be so agitated. They were still in the hotel, and if they spoke too loudly, others could hear them.
“Lower your voice,” Yan Chuan tugged at Ash’s hand, reminding him, “the hotel isn’t that soundproof.”
The soft palm covered his forearm, delicate and cool, and Ash also lowered his head.
Yan Chuan then asked Ash, “Where did he stare at me?”
He continued to hold Ash’s arm, and due to their height difference, his palm slowly slid down to Ash’s wrist, his fingertip inadvertently brushing against the sensitive inner side of Ash’s wrist.
The young man held by Yan Chuan suddenly trembled at the wrist.
Yan Chuan thought he wasn’t used to being held by someone else, so he immediately released his hand and explained, “No, I just wanted to remind you to keep your voice down; it’s not night yet, and they haven’t gone to sleep.”
The delicate, soft touch was gone in an instant.
After the explanation, Ash’s head drooped even lower, mumbling something incoherent.
“I haven’t said much to him,” Yan Chuan didn’t notice what Ash had said, frowning as he recalled the situation, “and he’s a police officer; why would he be watching me when he should pay attention to what Duncan is doing?”
Yan Chuan found it somewhat amusing.
“You say he was staring at me,” he pressed his lips together, “then what about you? Were you staring at him or at me?”
