Yan Chuan confirmed that Su was his “husband” in the script “Apartment No. 13,” and he carried the memories from that script.
He even knew he was just a fake husband and was aware of the unfortunate real husband mentioned earlier. He had even said this in front of Dan Qi and Tang Zhen…
This realization made Yan Chuan’s cheeks burn even more. Wouldn’t they feel embarrassed saying such things in a special variety show? The tension in Yan Chuan’s heart began to melt away.
Su not only remembered his “beautiful wife,” but he also knew about the other men who were coveting her.
“Very pure and beautiful,” referred to the time in the script when he was nervously facing the NPC husband, unsure whether this person was the boss, fearing that the other might discover something was amiss.
“Good relationship,” “morning kisses and goodnight kisses,” indicated his helplessness in relating to his husband, a tall and handsome man, relying on clumsy flattery.
“Timid” and “shy”… Yan Chuan blinked.
They might be talking about his fears of the boss acting up during the night scenes, always staying close by. But Su didn’t clarify, and Dan Qi and Tang Zhen were the two “wild men” at the long table.
He was merely pouring out how good his relationship was with his “wife,” claiming that it was the men outside who were tempting his ignorant wife.
Su’s actions left Yan Chuan feeling unsettled. He obviously remembered the script’s plot and even his face. How could he not know who Dan Qi and Tang Zhen were?
Could it be that NPCs are different from contestants, somehow still being influenced even after leaving the script? Yan Chuan didn’t understand this question very well.
He could only listen to the back-and-forth conversation between Su and Jiang Qi, his pale cheeks reddening.
What made him feel more uncomfortable was that Jiang Qi was enthusiastically asking questions. This magician seemed completely unaware that silence could be a virtue; he said whatever came to his mind and even tried to get a photo of Su’s “beautiful wife” to see what she looked like.
When Yan Chuan heard Jiang Qi ask this question, his heart raced, terrified that Su would stand up and point at him, declaring, “This is our wife.”
He frightened himself with his own imagination.
They were still in the special variety show’s villa, and there were many other contestants in the hall, even Keri and Jiang Qi, who did not belong to “Apartment No. 13.”
While they were honestly working on their tasks, the contestants near them were entangled in emotional issues.
Was it really five or six people involved?
Their noise was already different from others. Wouldn’t such conversations lead them to be blacklisted by other contestants?
Yan Chuan couldn’t help but purse his lips, casting a hesitant glance at Su.
He contemplated what to do if Su really stood up and revealed his identity.
Thankfully, Su refused the request.
The handsome but gloomy man displayed a fleeting look of displeasure, sharing with the curious Jiang Qi that he didn’t want to show anyone a photo of his wife.
“Just dealing with those two men is troublesome enough,” Su frowned and said, “I can’t add more trouble for myself because of my own mistake.”
Jiang Qi nodded thoughtfully.
It was indeed normal for a man who was often troubled by his beautiful wife not to want to share her photo with outsiders.
This only piqued Jiang Qi’s curiosity even more.
He rotated the small card between his fingers, his gaze sweeping across the silent contestants at the long table.
When he noticed Player One’s slightly flushed cheeks, Jiang Qi suddenly spoke up.
The magician shifted the topic back to Su’s beautiful wife.
“So how did you win her over from her last husband?”
Jiang Qi asked this question with interest.
He raised an eyebrow, his gaze stopping briefly on Player One’s suddenly trembling lashes, sweeping over her strikingly beautiful, pale face.
Her soft, dark hair hung down when she leaned, brushing against her delicate neck, a small area of skin visible beneath her collar that was so pale it almost reflected light.
Reaching out would make one feel the frailness of her body, as if one could break it just by applying slight pressure.
Fragile yet beautiful.
She not only had a small frame but also a small face, half obscured by stray hair, revealing just a hint of her side profile, soft and exquisite.
Completely different from the other contestants at the table.
This Player One was reserved, rarely making eye contact with others, and kept her head down, staring at the table.
She didn’t seem like a contestant on a reality show; rather, she resembled a pitiful little animal that wandered into a beast’s lair.
Her expression was one of bewilderment.
At this moment, her porcelain cheeks blossomed with a rosy hue, and her petite, fair earlobes gradually turned red.
Jiang Qi’s fingers froze on the card.
He couldn’t figure out why she was blushing. Was it embarrassment from hearing other contestants discuss his wife, or for some other reason?
Su continued to respond.
He didn’t seem to think that sharing how he stole someone’s wife in front of everyone was overly excessive or embarrassing; in fact, he seemed quite proud of it.
It was as if he wanted to proclaim to the world that someone else’s beautiful wife had become his.
“Oh, it’s quite simple.” Su’s tone even carried a bit of lightness, though the content was anything but.
“I dealt with her husband,” the handsome man shrugged, tapping his long fingers on the table with a calm expression as usual.
【Let’s fight!】
【Hey, just don’t scare my wife while you’re fighting; she’s very timid!】
【Don’t you think the dead husband deserves a chance to resurrect?】
【You don’t understand; only husbands who are dead are good husbands. A dead husband signifies growth, maturity, and is an essential part of life; only after the previous husband is gone can the next one take his place…】
