Sui stood up, advancing toward him step by step.
Suihan pulled Song Jincheng behind him, and the calm light in his eyes rippled.
“Xiao Shi, what is your answer?”
Song Jincheng’s mind raced as he contemplated his choice. If he had to pick one, what should it be?
What Sui said was true; for some time now, he had frequently thought about him, even dreaming of him.
He had thought it was merely an instinctive attraction of a zombie to the zombie king, but now it seemed that Sui had done something to him.
But Suihan…
Song Jincheng recalled the various situations from last night…
Suihan had been truly terrifying in bed.
But he couldn’t not choose Suihan.
After all, Sui was just a boss in a game instance, while Suihan could take him back to the player base. If he didn’t choose Suihan, things would likely go poorly when they returned.
Moreover, Suihan had long since hinted at settling old scores after they cleared the instance.
“I want Suihan.”
Song Jincheng’s voice echoed through the entire laboratory.
Upon hearing his words, everyone in the lab felt a chill spread.
The zombies outside grew increasingly agitated.
At first, the zombies seemed to be causing chaos in an orderly fashion, searching for something within the base.
If it weren’t for the humans attacking them, the zombies wouldn’t even think to bite any of the humans.
But now, the zombies had completely gone berserk.
They indiscriminately attacked everyone in the base.
Even Song Jincheng began to feel irritated.
This was the absolute control of the Zombie King over his subjects.
Sui’s state influenced every zombie in the instance.
“Darling, in that case, I’ll just kill him. It’s definitely this ungrateful thing that seduced you, causing you to make a mistake. As long as you come to my side, I won’t hold it against you.”
Suihan’s gaze turned icy. “I want to see who ends up killing whom.”
Several researchers squeezed into the corners, terrified of being caught in the terrifying crossfire.
Just as the struggle was about to break out, an invisible door in the wall was opened from inside.
“This is a research facility, not a place for you to squabble over jealousy. If you want to fight, please leave.”
A man in a pure white lab coat stepped out.
He looked displeased as he closed the door and reprimanded those outside.
Bo Yanyan had essentially been living in the lab recently to develop a vaccine for the virus.
His research progress hadn’t been very rapid, but thanks to the clues provided by that white-haired man a few days ago, the vaccine was almost ready.
He hadn’t slept for several days, and just as he finally managed to rest for a while, the noise from outside woke him up.
The irritation of being interrupted and the urgency of not being able to find Song Jincheng made his temper flare up instantly.
Not bothering to look at the people outside, he spoke as he opened the door.
It was only when he caught sight of the researchers huddled in the corner that he sensed something was off.
He squinted slightly, looking towards the center of the laboratory.
“What are you doing here?”
Bo Yanyan’s voice turned slightly cold.
Suihan said nothing.
However, Song Jincheng, recognizing the familiar voice, peeked out from behind Suihan.
Song Jincheng curiously looked towards the speaker.
When he clearly saw that person’s appearance, he exclaimed within the system space.
“Assistant! It’s Bo Yanyan!”
“I know, host.”
“He’s the one who poisoned me and caused my amnesia! Assistant, why can’t you understand my anger?!”
“Host, I’m just an intelligent entity. I wasn’t given an emotional module upon creation. If I had one, many systems would cheat for their hosts, so I cannot comprehend your anger. However, I can help you plot revenge!”
Song Jincheng communicated with the assistant in his mind, but to everyone else, it didn’t appear that way.
In the eyes of the three men, Song Jincheng stuck his head out to look at Bo Yanyan.
Then he stared at him in a daze, as if mesmerized, not blinking at all.
Suihan and Sui looked at Song Jincheng with darkened eyes, as if they were about to swallow him whole.
Bo Yanyan, on the other hand, smiled back at Song Jincheng, and a hint of blush crept up his earlobes.
The fire of conflict between the two men instantly turned into a triangle.
“Song Jincheng.”
Bo Yanyan happily called his name.
Unexpectedly, Song Jincheng let out a hum and then withdrew his head, refusing to look at him any longer.
Bo Yanyan hesitated, looking at this scene, appearing somewhat aggrieved.
Suihan raised his eyes to look at the speaker, realizing he knew him.
He was a key researcher in this instance.
“Xiao Shi, do you know him?”
What kind of connection could a researcher have with him? But seeing his sad expression, it seemed the two must have some relationship.
It looked like he needed to act quickly. Every instance, Xiao Shi had been attracting so many men; he needed to level up quickly to keep an eye on him.
Suihan’s heart was almost certain their relationship was unusual.
Song Jincheng remained silent, but Bo Yanyan spoke first.
“What is your relationship? Song Jincheng is my wife. Although you have helped us greatly, your contributions to the vaccine research cannot be overlooked, but it is not good to steal someone else’s wife.”
Upon hearing this, Song Jincheng immediately stepped out from behind Suihan, angrily glaring at Bo Yanyan.
“Who is your wife! Don’t slander me!”
Bo Yanyan wasn’t bothered by Song Jincheng’s denial; instead, he walked toward him with a smile.
