She walked into the room and saw Shuai Chang’s figure. In a muted voice, she said, “Benefactor.”
Shuai Chang nodded, “Fei’er, six months ago I used the amnesia curse on him. Can you now extract the curse?”
Ning Fei’er replied, “I can.”
She turned to Bo Xicun, who had followed her in, and said, “Please ask the onlookers to step outside and wait.”
Bo Xicun pointed at Shuai Chang and asked, “Why aren’t you sending him away?”
Ning Fei’er narrowed her eyes; her dark gaze resembled a pool of stagnant water, calm and undisturbed. “He is my benefactor.”
Bo Xicun froze and waved his sleeves, saying, “Then I’ll just leave.”
Ning Fei’er placed a green incense material in the incense burner. The pale green smoke spiraled upward, and Chunyu Lan quickly began to feel drowsy, slipping into a deep sleep without any awareness.
Inside the room, neither Shuai Chang nor Ning Fei’er were affected.
“Fei’er, Lan’er has been poisoned by the heart flower. Can you alleviate it?”
Ning Fei’er pondered for a moment and said, “I have a curse that feeds on the heart flower; it might be worth a try.”
As she spoke, she opened one of the bamboo tubes and positioned it near Chunyu Lan’s mouth. Odd sounds emitted from her mouth, resembling laughter but also weeping.
After about half an hour, sweat beads covered Ning Fei’er’s forehead. She remained motionless, her eyes fixated on Chunyu Lan’s mouth. Finally, with a sharp cry escaping her lips, a green curse insect crawled out of Chunyu Lan’s mouth and into the bamboo tube. Ning Fei’er immediately closed the lid.
She seemed utterly drained, propping herself up against the bedpost.
“Are you alright?” Shuai Chang asked.
Ning Fei’er shook her head slowly, “Benefactor, I am fine.”
She handed Shuai Chang a pitch-black bamboo tube, saying, “Inside is the love-eating curse. Administer it to him after an hour. You can test its efficacy tonight. I will be in Zhan City for five days; you can find me if anything comes up.”
Shuai Chang stood up to see her off. “Thank you, Fei’er.”
Ning Fei’er bent slightly in gratitude, stating, “I cannot forget the life-saving grace. Should anything arise, just call upon your benefactor.”
With that, she turned to leave, her flowing robe billowing in the wind like a mass of dark clouds.
Shuai Chang returned to the bedroom to guard Chunyu Lan. Bo Xicun was called away by his subordinates due to urgent matters; otherwise, he would have confronted Shuai Chang about why he had administered a curse to Chunyu Lan again.
Only he and Ning Fei’er should know about Chunyu Lan’s heart flower poison.
An hour later, Shuai Chang administered the curse to Chunyu Lan. The moon was high in the sky, and the sounds of cicadas and crickets became more apparent in the dark night. Shuai Chang lay on the side of the bed, holding Chunyu Lan, and closed his eyes to sleep.

Feng Yunlan awoke to find Wulin Alliance Leader Fu Qingya lying next to him. He immediately placed his hand on Fu Qingya’s unprotected neck.
Fu Qingya’s eyes fluttered open, and upon seeing him, he immediately revealed an exceptionally gentle smile, calling, “Lan’er.”
Feng Yunlan’s fingertips trembled as he suppressed a sudden, inexplicable feeling rising in his chest and sternly asked, “Fu Qingya, where is this? What have you done to me?”
#
Lingtuan: “Ding! Feng Yunlan’s heart-throbbing index has dropped to zero!”
A perfect entry leads to a zero-point return; could anyone be worse off than him?
Shuai Chang seemed oblivious to the hand Feng Yunlan had placed on his neck, sitting up with a hurt expression and asking, “Lan’er, have you really forgotten me?”
His gentle eyes were filled with pain; Feng Yunlan instinctively loosened his grip, mumbling, “Husband…”
Feng Yunlan’s expression changed: “Fu Qingya, what curse have you placed on me? Why did I inexplicably call you ‘husband’?”
Shuai Chang forced a smile, “Lan’er, you are under the heart flower poison. Have you really forgotten everything that has happened between us in the past six months?” As he spoke, Shuai Chang tentatively reached out to caress Feng Yunlan’s cheek.
Feng Yunlan’s body had long accustomed to his touch. Once he regained his memory, he remained unguarded around him. “Hmm~ Fu Qingya, you despicable scoundrel!”
Feng Yunlan struggled to stifle the emptiness and heat within herself, her cheeks flushed, and the scent of the heart flower grew stronger. The distance and disgust in her eyes were gradually replaced by desire as her body unconsciously leaned toward Shuai Chang.
Shuai Chang’s heart sank. Was Ning Fei’er’s love-eating curse actually ineffective?
Feng Yunlan entwined herself around him like a water snake, leaving Shuai Chang with no choice but to satisfy her needs first.
After just one encounter, the fragrance emanating from Feng Yunlan began to fade. As she regained awareness, she recalled her previous entanglement with this man, feeling both enraged and furious. “Fu Qingya, you hypocrite! You took advantage of me when I was unguarded!”
Shuai Chang, however, looked bright-eyed and said with a smile, “Lan’er, before when your heart flower poison flared up, it took five or six times in one night. Today it only took once; it seems the love-eating curse is still effective.”
“Fu Qingya, you better shut up.” What do you mean by five or six times? As Feng Yunlan recalled the overwhelming pleasure she just felt, her body trembled, and lower down, it was inexplicably standing erect, while she did not emit any fragrance.
Shuai Chang was increasingly convinced that the love-eating curse was effective against the heart flower poison.
He embraced the weakened Feng Yunlan in his arms and assisted her once again, prompting a low whimper from her.
Feng Yunlan’s breathing quickened, and her eyes glimmered with tears. Her makeup-like corners of her eyes curved alluringly.
“Lan’er, I will stay by your side and will not leave. When I see Bo Xicun, I will explain everything that has happened in the last six months.”
