Bao’er tearfully exclaimed, “If I marry Tang En, he will definitely kill me! You only care about money, so let’s die together.”
She forcefully dragged Yadou尼斯 into the kitchen and locked the door. “It’s all because of you! Bao’er has turned into a bad person because of you. I want to explain to my mother and father that I didn’t mean it. I will change!”
With tears mixed with laughter, Bao’er opened the gas line, and soon the small kitchen was filled with an acrid smell.
Alfred woke up hazily and, upon smelling the gas, shouted, “Bao’er, what are you trying to do?!”
With a strange smile on her lips, Bao’er replied, “Dad, you know exactly what I want to do. I don’t want to live anymore, but I also don’t want you to live! Let’s die together. If you have anything to say, hurry up, or you will never have the chance again! Hahaha.”
Baoer’s mental state was clearly not normal.
At that moment, Alfred truly felt fear. “Bao’er, I was wrong. Bao’er, I am your dad! How could you kill me?”
“Just now, you said I am a wild seed, not your daughter. Isn’t it justified for me to kill you to avenge my mother and father?”
“No, no, no, Bao’er. Considering that I raised you for twenty years, please let me go! I won’t force you to marry Tang En anymore. I will treat you well in the future, and you can spend all the money you want. Whatever you want to buy, just buy it, okay? Please spare me!”
“It’s too late!” Bao’er sneered, “Where were you when I needed you? Now you want to live? Not a chance!”
Bao’er took out a thumb-sized lighter from the drawer, waved it in front of Alfred’s eyes, and as Alfred looked on in horror, she pressed her thumb slightly, and with a ‘pop’, a weak flame sprang up.
“Boom—-!!!” In an instant, the two-story white building was engulfed in flames.
The house where Bao’er lived burned severely. It took the male elephant orcs more than two hours to extinguish the fire. The entire building was charred black, and when the firefighters entered to search for survivors, they only brought out two charred bodies, which were already carbonized and crumbled into dust with just a touch.
The police investigation revealed that the two bodies were a father and son, both in the kitchen at the time of the explosion, and the kitchen door was locked.
To further understand the case, the police went to the school Bao’er attended that afternoon.
Upon entering the school, they immediately heard countless discussions about Bao’er. Some said she colluded with Tang En while others claimed she was forced by him. After showing their credentials, the police split into two groups: one went to speak with the principal, the first witness, while the other went to find Tang En.
Tang En’s parents had been in turmoil all morning and finally sighed in relief after sending Tang En to his bedroom. They sat in the living room, preparing to talk about the situation between Tang En and Bao’er.
Tang En’s father, Kosoni, believed that since Tang En had already had intimate relations with Bao’er, he must take responsibility. There was a real possibility that Bao’er might already be pregnant with Tang En’s child, and he needed to marry her.
However, Tang En’s mother, Machi, disagreed: “Don’t you notice Tang En’s current mental state is very abnormal? I suspect he has serious violent tendencies. If that’s the case, he absolutely cannot marry Bao’er. This would endanger that child.”
“This is a female’s perspective!” Kosoni exclaimed loudly. “Our son is so outstanding! He is an eight-star male orc. If Bao’er marries him, she is likely to become a marshal’s wife in the future!”
Machi gently patted Kosoni’s back to calm him: “Don’t be anxious. I know Tang En is excellent, but he has already been expelled from the orc academy. It’s impossible for him to enter the military.” The military cannot tolerate illegal behavior, and Tang En’s expulsion from school proves he is not a well-behaved orc.
“You don’t need to worry about that, I have my ways.”
Tonatural sounds permeated the atmosphere, and Machi could no longer dissuade him. She got up and placed two cups of water on the coffee table. Just as she sat down, the doorbell rang suddenly.
Machi and Kosoni exchanged glances. Kosoni stood up to open the door. “Gentlemen, may I ask what you need?”
The undercover police officer took out his ID: “There was an explosion at a house on Yuanxin Road this afternoon, resulting in two fatalities. One of them is a female orc named Bao’er Nigus. We learned from the school that Bao’er Nigus had an unpleasant encounter with your son Tang En today, so we came to ask Tang En to help us record a statement.”
Hearing that Bao’er had died, Kosoni felt a surge of panic, and for some reason, he was convinced that Bao’er’s death was related to Tang En.
Kosoni stepped aside to let the two police officers in and told Machi, who was looking confused, “Machi, go call Tang En down. The officers have something to ask him.”
Machi didn’t hear what the undercover police had said outside and asked, “Who are they? What do they want with Tang En?”
Kosoni sighed wearily, “You’ll find out once you call him down.”
Machi uneasily went upstairs. She opened the door to Tang En’s bedroom and found him lying on the bed, eyes wide open, bloodshot, and clearly unable to sleep.
“Tang En,” Machi called gently.
Tang En’s eyes flickered, “Mother.” His voice was hoarse and full of pain.
“Does it still hurt?” Machi moved to the bedside, her heart aching.
Tang En nodded. “Is this retribution?”
Machi’s heart skipped a beat. “Wh-what retribution?”
“This morning, I wanted to… assault Bao’er…”
Machi stepped back in shock. “Tang En, did you say you wanted to assault Bao’er? Is that true?”
Tang En smiled bitterly. “Did I really need to lie to frame myself? Mother, I’m sorry, I know this is wrong, but I really can’t control myself.” As to whether he truly assaulted Bao’er, he had no memory of it; all he remembered was waking up lying on Bao’er.
Machi’s face turned pale. “Tang En, your father wants you to come down. He has something to discuss with you.”
Regardless of whether he moved or stayed still, pain spread through Tang En’s body. He nodded in agreement and rose to follow Machi downstairs.
