Pain shot through Tang En’s body as he clutched it in fear. “Teacher! Teacher, take me to the hospital quickly!”
The head teacher scoffed, “How dare you go to the hospital? What happened here? What were you and this little female doing?”
“We didn’t do anything!” Tang En shouted, desperate from the pain. “Old man, I told you to take me to the hospital, are you deaf?”
“Tang En, is that how you speak to a director?” Yarlin bravely stood in front of the head teacher. “Don’t be afraid, Director, I won’t let him harm you.”
“You are Tang En? Get dressed and come with me to the principal’s office.” The head teacher, a female beastman, shot Yarlin a glance to keep an eye on Tang En, then walked over to help the unconscious Bao’er and adjusted her clothes.
As Bao’er stirred and came to, she groggily saw a wrinkled face and instinctively swung her fist, hitting the person’s face. “You filthy pervert! Why don’t you look at yourself in the mirror?”
The head teacher took a deep breath and released her grip. “Student, I don’t know what my looks are like, but I know what kind of person you are! On the first day of school, you’re having secret rendezvous with a male beastman in broad daylight. How can you have any shame?”
Bao’er fell to the ground, pointing her finger at the head teacher in outrage. “You just wait!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll definitely wait for you in the office every day.”
Bao’er clearly still didn’t understand the situation; she thought she was being targeted by an old pervert.
“What’s your position in the school? I will report you!”
“Before you report me, I think it’s better for you to consider how to inform your parents to come to the school to pick you up. After all, you’re the first student to be expelled for causing chaos on campus.”
The head teacher found two lengths of rope on the floor, handed one to Yarlin to tie up Tang En, and took the other to restrain Bao’er.
Just as they finished tying up, chaotic footsteps approached from afar. Turning to look, Xia Zuo came in with the principal, two vice principals, and the head and assistant head teachers of the third and eighth grades.
The head teacher hurried over to report the situation to the principal, embellishing the harsh words exchanged between Tang En and Bao’er. “Principal, these two students cannot stay in our school, or they will greatly damage our school’s reputation.”
The principal’s face turned pale with anger. “Notify their parents to come to the school immediately!”
The military is coming in the afternoon to select students; the principal absolutely would not allow two disgraceful students to remain in school. The parents would be summoned to present evidence and reason, and the students must be expelled.
The parents, feeling deeply ashamed, reluctantly assisted Tang En and Bao’er in completing their expulsion paperwork.
Tang En’s parents took him to the hospital for an examination. Besides a minor fracture, nothing else could be found.
Tang En stubbornly insisted that he was in pain all over, but his parents and the doctor believed he was just acting out due to his expulsion, having lost his sanity.
Bao’er was taken home by Alfred.
After learning of his expulsion, Bao’er cried continuously. Alfred, impatient, said, “You’re crying for something you did wrong!”
“Alfred, I was forced by Tang En!” Bao’er cried out. “Why do you blame me without asking the whole story! You’re not my father!”
Alfred slapped her, sending Bao’er crashing to the ground. “Tomorrow, you will go to Tang En’s house to apologize. You have no reputation left, and remember to speak well of him to get his family to marry you. No more arguments.”
Bao’er felt wronged, still sobbing, “Tang En is a pervert; you don’t care about me at all. I’d rather die than marry him!”
Alfred narrowed his eyes, sneering, “Rather die? If you’re capable, jump down six flights like your mother and father, and break into a puddle. I certainly won’t stop you.”
Bao’er looked up, filled with rage. “Alfred, you’re inhuman! My mother and father died because of you.”
Mentioning Bao’er’s mother and father made Alfred feel disgusted. “That promiscuous female, whether she jumped or not, I would have killed her. You still don’t know if you’re my biological child; you might just be a bastard, and I’ve raised you for so many years. If I want you to marry someone, there’s no bargain.”
After finishing, Alfred kicked Bao’er and swayed back to his room.
He hummed a tune, wondering how much bride price he could get for Bao’er marrying Tang En.
The Tang family was wealthy and influential, and Tang En was an eighth-level male beastman; the bride price would likely be at least ten thousand.
Alfred smiled broadly, lying down on the bed and dreaming sweetly.
With gritted teeth, Bao’er stood up from the ground. His face was pale, and his eyes were filled with hatred. “Alfred, if you don’t consider me your son, then I won’t recognize you as my father either. You forced me!”
He walked to the kitchen, selected a few ingredients, and started cooking, adding a bit of lethargy herb powder to whatever he made.
Lethargy herb powder is colorless and tasteless but can render someone unconscious if the dosage is too high.
In the afternoon, after having a deep sleep, Alfred came out, only to find Bao’er humbly serving the meal on the table.
Alfred smiled proudly. “That’s more like it! I raised you for more than a decade, how could I harm you?”
Bao’er softly replied, “Mm,” and stood beside Alfred to help him pick food, appearing as if he was scared to his core, every move cautious.
Alfred, suspicious of nothing, accepted everything Bao’er brought to his mouth, shaking his head as he ate. “Such good cooking skills of yours would be wasted if you were to marry. Remember to come back weekly to cook for me; it is worth my raising you for twenty years.”
Bao’er nodded, murmuring, “Understood, father.”
After Alfred finished eating, he usually spent a few minutes watching the noon news in the living room. But today, he fell asleep after watching only ten minutes, exhaustion overwhelming him as he slumped against the sofa back.
To ensure safety, Bao’er approached and called out loudly to him, but Alfred showed no response.
Bao’er quickly got the prepared rope and tied Alfred up.
The male beastman, known for his harsh temper, lay unaware at his feet. A feeling of triumph rose within Bao’er. “Alfred, your day has come! I will avenge my mother and father. Don’t think I didn’t know, my parents never cheated; you and Tang En are just paranoid, committing domestic violence, making my parents’ lives miserable. If not, they wouldn’t have left me to escape this scum like you.”
