Since the advent of hover technology, things have changed dramatically. The first batch of the latest patrol aircraft, designed for use by border warriors in harsh environments, was sent by the state. These aircraft not only maintain high temperatures and constant pressure but also possess automatic patrol and reconnaissance capabilities.
Once someone is injured or an accident occurs, it can be detected immediately.
“Calling headquarters, this is unit 00363. There’s significant seismic activity detected 500 km away.”
Suddenly, a violent shaking could be felt from a distance. A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck N-country, leaving a landscape of shattered walls and debris. The few safe zones were filled with people of various skin colors.
“Look over there, what is that?”
All attention turned to the sky, focusing on the small aircraft above. Were they rescue workers sent from N-country? Hope filled the hearts of the people.
“It seems to be a rescue team from H-country!”
The consulate at the border, where people were gathered, vigorously waved a flag; upon seeing their national flag, many H-country citizens rushed to it.
While people from other countries were still trying to contact their embassies, the H-country rescue teams had already arrived on-site. The situation remained chaotic, but the rescue teams from H-country swiftly began their operations.
Everyone had one question in mind: “Why did H-country’s rescue team arrive so quickly?”
Why had H-country already commenced rescue operations while their own nation’s embassy couldn’t even get through with a phone call?
The first batch of border warriors from H-country that reached R-country landed efficiently and began to gather fellow citizens.
“Anyone who is injured, please step forward!”
“There are still spots available, especially for the elderly and children!”
“Don’t worry, our rescue team will arrive soon!”
Contrary to expectations, there was no chaos; everyone did their utmost to help themselves. The men were responsible for moving the injured onto the aircraft, while women assisted those left behind with minor injuries. Seriously injured individuals were prioritized for evacuation, leaving space for the elderly and children.
Unbeknownst to who initiated it, H-country’s national anthem resonated in the foreign sky. As they watched the departing rescue team, others felt a mix of awe and gratitude, feeling fortunate to have reached this point.
Two foreign students watched as H-country people were taken away one by one, while their own embassy had been unreachable. They sighed, “H-country really treats its citizens well.”
“Well, of course! Our country has always acted this way,” replied a proud student from H-country in the same class.
“How can your rescue team determine that those are all citizens of H-country?”
“Anyone who can sing the national anthem is certainly from H-country.”
Roger, one of the foreign students, looked puzzled. “Why are the people from your country so accommodating? Those who left just now didn’t seem to have any objections?”
“Because H-country will never abandon any citizen, no matter where they are. The country will always respond immediately, and H-country’s soldiers will protect its own.”
About ten minutes later, the official rescue team arrived with supplies, leaving resources behind while evacuating all the citizens from H-country.
“We’re not from H-country,” Roger and Colin replied awkwardly when the rescue team ushered them to board the aircraft.
“Don’t worry, H-country is a friendly nation. Right now, you need urgent medical attention for your injuries,” a classmate from H-country reassured them.
Roger and Colin were afforded the opportunity to follow the major rescue group for evacuation.
Once aboard the rescue aircraft, Roger checked his phone and noticed that after a long time trying to contact their embassy, they finally got through — only to receive a response regarding land issues.
Sensing their discomfort, a doctor of the same nationality as them came on board, bandaging Roger’s wounds while comforting him, “Don’t worry, as long as there is extra space on H-country’s aircraft, they will help others in need.”
Encountering someone who speaks the same language in a foreign environment naturally creates a sense of familiarity.
Seeing their confusion, the doctor patiently explained, “Years ago, during a volcanic eruption while I was studying abroad, it was the H-country rescue team that saved me. I survived despite losing a leg.”
The blond doctor rolled up his pant leg, revealing a metal prosthetic inside. “Fortunately, H-country invented robotic limbs, and after that incident, I moved my family here.”
The two young students fell silent, while others from different countries who were fortunate enough to board the rescue aircraft also remained quiet, wondering if they would have faced a similar fate had they not joined the H-country rescue team.
As the aircraft landed, medical personnel surrounded the area. Roger was lifted by volunteers to what appeared to be a hospital.
Dazed, he was placed in a capsule-like machine, and when he came out, his various wounds had mostly healed.
Roger and Colin curiously looked at each other and asked, “Are you okay?”
They both nodded silently.
Who was it that spread rumors about H-country’s medical technology being backward!!!
Inside the hospital, everyone was rushing to help, and Roger, feeling lost, wandered nearby searching for an exit with Colin.
“Watch out!”
Several nurses rushed by pushing a medical bed.
Roger extended his hand but failed to notice a young man standing behind him.
The short young man was pulled back by a taller companion.
The short one turned to them and nodded.
Less than half an hour later, a child with a severely crushed arm entered and emerged joyfully playing with a new limb.
Roger was shocked, “What is this?”
The tall young man replied casually, “This is H-country’s latest innovation; it only takes half an hour to manufacture prosthetic organs that conform to the human body.”
“This must be very expensive,” Colin said with envy on his face.
“No worries, H-country has medical subsidies, and if it’s a minor, they can exchange it later if they outgrow their prosthetic.”
The tall young man glanced at him and added, “Foreign friends can apply as well.”
Guided by two oddly kind-hearted citizens of H-country, Roger and Colin nervously entered the resettlement center.
