“Auntie, you need to keep an eye on your Ye Qiu. Although he wasn’t reliable before, he’s doing well now and says he wants to take us older sisters along!”
“Ye Auntie, I heard your Ye Qiu plans to open a factory. Once it’s up and running, don’t forget about us!”
Someone actually bullied her son while she wasn’t home!
At the train station.
“Hey, why did the lunch boxes suddenly stop? We should have signed a contract earlier; there’s only half a day left. Where are we supposed to find someone selling lunch boxes?”
“Isn’t it because there’s only one supplier? They probably want to raise prices. What do they think, that we can’t buy so many lunch boxes anywhere else around here?”
Ye Qiu, overhearing the conversation, contemplated for a moment. After waiting, a dejected-looking person in uniform came out, likely a manager.
Complaining as he walked, it was evident he had something troubling him.
Ye Qiu grabbed onto this man still murmuring to himself, “Brother, what’s going on? I’ve been hearing your complaints from afar. If you have something bothering you, just say it.”
Seeing Ye Qiu, a handsome young man, the person relaxed his guard and couldn’t help but vent: “You don’t know; the lunch box factory we often work with suddenly said this morning they couldn’t supply us anymore. The higher-ups have demanded we find a solution by today. Where can I find a suitable replacement in one day?”
“Not one day, but half a day.” Ye Qiu pointed at the glaring sun overhead.
Half a day. It felt like a heart attack.
“Brother, I really shouldn’t involve myself, but seeing your difficulties, do you think my instant noodles can help solve your urgent needs?” Ye Qiu casually pulled out his instant noodles to promote.
The man sighed, “The noodles are really good, but I must admit I work at the train station; we serve boxed lunches and steamed noodles. We can heat up prepared food, but we can’t cook noodles. You’re well-intentioned.”
He lamented, “If only there were noodles that could just be soaked and eaten.”
“You haven’t eaten out recently, have you? Such noodles already exist. Look, the instant noodles from my factory are delicious and convenient; you just soak them in boiling water for three minutes and they’re ready to eat,” Ye Qiu said, sincerely showing three fingers.
The surprised man asked, “Really?”
Just pour hot water, and they’re ready in three minutes? Isn’t that more convenient than lunch boxes?
“Come on, do you think I’d lie for a cent? Besides, I’m just suggesting you give it a shot; otherwise, how else can you find a replacement factory right now?”
The man nodded thoughtfully; if he didn’t present a satisfactory solution soon, he might get fired, but if the higher-ups were pleased, he could even earn some recognition in front of his boss.
“I’ll be straightforward. Our factory’s instant noodles sell very well in the capital, and we’re expanding here. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t bother selling this to you unless you were buying several packs. But since you’re nice, I suggest you buy a few packets to try. If you’re not satisfied, you can return them for a refund!”
“Honestly, you seem like someone who’s not short on cash. Have you ever come across something like this?”
If such convenient noodles existed, he wouldn’t need to rush.
The man shook his head.
“If you don’t follow my plan, won’t you risk not completing your work?”
The man nodded again.
“And without completing your work, your boss will get angry. Isn’t it possible that you could get fired?”
He nodded once more.
“My instant noodles are worth 3 cents. Given that we’re both brothers, how about I sell them to you for 2 cents, the same price as the supplier? Isn’t that a bargain?”
The man absentmindedly nodded, “You’re right!”
“Tell me, shouldn’t you buy my noodles now to satisfy your boss?”
“Yes, I must buy them!”
Ye Qiu saw the man taking the goods inside.
Sure enough, after a while, the man returned empty-handed and appeared much lighter.
He smiled and said, “See, I told you my products sell well in the capital. There’s no way the upper management wouldn’t be satisfied; didn’t we just resolve the issue?”
The man nodded contentedly, “The upper management hasn’t commented yet, but I suspect it should be fine.”
Since he was the first one to propose a solution, he had to get the job done and succeed.
After finishing, he firmly shook Ye Qiu’s hand, “Comrade, I can’t express my gratitude enough; we must sign a contract.”
They’re signing a contract already?!
“Aren’t you going to think it over?” Ye Qiu was surprised that the man trusted him so much and asked in disbelief.
The man nodded, “Isn’t this a guarantee? This issue occurred because of a lack of a contract, and while I trust you, I’m still wary.”
“Actually, we could wait for the upper management’s approval before discussing this.” Ye Qiu hesitated.
The man misinterpreted Ye Qiu’s expression as disdain for his workplace and gritted his teeth, pulling a 50-yuan bill from his bag, “Brother, I’m counting on you. This money is a deposit; you must communicate well with the factory manager. This is a big order!”
Ye Qiu could only console himself in his heart, thinking the person was from the capital and obviously wouldn’t look down on their orders.
Ye Qiu watched this determined man, and they signed a priority supply contract if the train station needed it.
His name turned out to be Zhao Youxin.
After signing the contract, Zhao Youxin cheerfully took it and turned back to vigorously wave at Ye Qiu.
Now that everything is ready, they just need the factory.
Such a significant matter of establishing a factory certainly needed to be discussed with Ye Qiu’s father and mother. As for the fried pancake roll, he would leave that to the villagers.
