Lin Yansheng rubbed Song Jinshi’s head before vanishing into thin air.
Song Jinshi let out a sigh of relief.
Until he went to bed, Lin Yansheng had not returned.
In a daze, Song Jinshi felt as if a shadow had enveloped her.
“Hubby?”
He mumbled, half-asleep.
“Are you just so loose? Can you call anyone ‘hubby’?”
“Yes, with your looks and personality, you’d probably seduce someone at any time.”
“Even at the wedding, you managed to seduce me; congratulations, little vixen, you succeeded.”
A mocking voice came from above.
In an instant, the drowsy Song Jinshi was wide awake.
His cheeks flushed with embarrassment, tears welling in his eyes from such humiliating words.
“I didn’t seduce you! How can you say that? I’m already married, and you’re bullying me! Shen Yuanxing, how can you be so unreasonable?”
After going through so many scenarios, he had never been humiliated like this before; the feeling of grievance enveloped him immediately.
—’ How could this dog of a man say such things about my wife!!!’
—’ Shen Yuanxing!!! I want you dead!!!’
—’Wife, don’t cry! That dog man is not human; ignore him.’
—’ Waiting for that dog man to face the consequences of chasing my wife; don’t come crawling back to kiss his shoes!’
—’ I can’t take it anymore! My wife looks so beautiful when he cries; why am I feeling a little excited?’
— ‘Hehehe, wife, cry more! I love to see it.’
…
Shen Yuanxing stood there at a loss, and when faced with the little beauty’s crying, all his resentment vanished in an instant.
“How do you know my name, yet you say you weren’t trying to seduce me! If you weren’t trying to seduce me, why did you sneak around looking up my name when we clearly didn’t know each other before?”
Shen Yuanxing didn’t know how to comfort Song Jinshi, and his words only intensified his crying.
“How can you say that? We knew each other before! Now you say you don’t know me to slander me.”
“If you don’t like me, you could just tell me; why bully me like this?”
Song Jinshi accused Shen Yuanxing, wiping his tears while glaring at him fiercely.
—’My wife even looks adorable when he glares!’
—’Wife! Why are you rewarding him!’
Comments floated by, expressing the viewers’ excitement.
At that moment, Song Jinshi realized that they had been live-streaming for quite a while.
His crying immediately stopped, his face turning red with embarrassment.
“Assistant, can you set up a word filter? They are being so unfair!”
“Sorry, host, that’s not possible.”
“Okay then.”
Song Jinshi had adjusted his mood by now.
He decided that since Shen Yuanxing treated him this way, he wouldn’t like him either. He thought they were friends, but in his heart, he was nothing.
“Just leave, I’m already married. Don’t disturb my life with my husband.”
Shen Yuanxing saw that Song Jinshi really wanted him to leave and panicked.
“I’m sorry; I shouldn’t have said those things.”
“You don’t need to apologize; we don’t even know each other.”
Shen Yuanxing wanted to say more, but a loud knock interrupted him.
The knocking was heavy and unrelenting.
Both thought back to their previous encounters involving knocking, where monsters awaited them outside the door.
The small courage that had risen in Song Jinshi disappeared instantly.
Shen Yuanxing pulled Song Jinshi behind him, signalling him to hide as he went to open the door.
However, the door was suddenly flung open.
Outside stood countless monsters, a horrifying combination of men and fish that made one’s scalp tingle.
All the monsters focused their gazes on Song Jinshi, exuding a dark, greedy light.
Shen Yuanxing’s expression turned serious. “How can there be so many monsters?”
The monsters seemed to ignore Shen Yuanxing, locking their sights solely on Song Jinshi.
Having never seen such a scene, Song Jinshi’s face turned pale with fear.
The monsters rushed towards her, all eager to be the first to touch her.
Seeing the house surrounded entirely, Shen Yuanxing quickly grabbed Song Jinshi and used a teleportation talisman.
Running away was not something he would typically do, but with Song Jinshi by his side, he suddenly felt too afraid to kill the monsters.
He was worried that he might miss taking care of him or that those disgusting monsters might hurt her.
He was even more afraid he would witness his bloodthirsty side and become scared of him.
But the teleportation talisman did not transport them to where they wanted to go.
Instead, it brought them to the front of a castle.
Song Jinshi felt an abrupt blur in his vision, and in the next moment, he found herself in a very familiar place.
Looking up, he saw the familiar grass and the castle that was just a step away.
Though he didn’t enter the castle, his intuition told him he couldn’t go in; otherwise, something bad would happen.
So, he tugged on Shen Yuanxing’s sleeve. “Um, why don’t we leave here first?”
“I don’t feel good about this place.”
Shen Yuanxing didn’t ask why; he simply looked deeply at Song Jinshi before saying, “Let’s go.”
He turned away, preparing to walk away from the castle.
But Song Jinshi stopped him again.
“We can’t get out. We’re at the bottom of a pond; we need that item you just used to leave.”
“How do you know that?”
Shen Yuanxing turned to look at Song Jinshi, seemingly having seen through his thoughts, knowing everything.
“I… I’ve been here before.”
Song Jinshi whispered, unsure how to explain why he had come to this place.
