The warm yellow light spilled down.
Yanchuan’s cheeks were pale, her features exquisitely beautiful, with a slightly upturned nose.
When she turned her face, her profile looked clear and elegant, and the curve of her nose was even more pronounced, making her seem very cute.
Soft, jet-black strands of hair fell down, and her eyelashes drooped, her lips pressed together, refusing to look at anyone.
“Are you in a bad mood?” Her husband paused, leaning closer to his seemingly sulking wife, reflecting on his own mistakes. “Is it because of me?”
He was very accommodating, unaware of why his wife was upset, and he took the blame for himself first.
His wife was both delicate and gentle; at most, she would throw a minor tantrum. It was clear he must have done something to make her angry.
“Babe?”
He half-sank down, taking Yanchuan’s hand and placing it on his cheek. “Why are you upset?”
His eyes were very dark, exuding a near-ice coldness, with even the shape of the outer corners appearing sharp. But when he looked at Yanchuan, there was an inexplicable warmth, as if he were especially gentle.
Yanchuan blinked, her curled and long lashes fluttering slightly.
After her husband spoke a series of sweet words, she finally turned her head, murmuring, “You made me angry.”
Her voice was soft and awkward; it sounded like a complaint but came across as somewhat spoiled.
Her husband paused for a moment, acknowledging his mistake readily: “Yes, it’s my fault.”
Yanchuan’s hand was gently pressed against her husband’s slightly cool cheek, and she responded quietly.
**Although he is not Yanchuan’s official husband, he treats her really well… If he were a plumber, Yanchuan would be cursing him to get lost in her heart.**
**Even though Yanchuan knows how to charm other men, she is really quite delicate in front of her husband, soft and cute.**
**Yanchuan is very clever! She knows how to show different sides of herself in front of different men, smart girl!**
**Is this man really not Yanchuan’s official husband? They match perfectly in every aspect, and he even gives plumbers opportunities, wuwuwu.**
“Since you’re so accommodating,” Yanchuan continued to play along, “Do you really know what you did wrong?”
He blinked, his lashes brushing against her husband’s fingertips, her light rose petal lips pressed together, looking a bit proud and like a spoiled kitten, not knowing when she might nuzzle against some oblivious human.
Her husband paused in his breath.
Yanchuan rarely showed such expressions.
He was bashful; even when trying hard to play the role of a wife, he was still reserved. The most exaggerated action he could muster was to throw his arms around her husband’s neck and softly call “Hubby.”
As for anything else… it was mostly passive, and when her husband spoke, she would nervously blink.
It was rare for her to show such demeanor in front of him.
It was a sort of spoiled expression.
“Yesterday,” Yanchuan noted, seeing her husband’s lingering silence, “you went too far…”
She pulled down her thin stockings and pointed at the fresh red marks on her ankle, her eyes reflecting some grievance.
Her calves were snow-white and delicate, but her ankle bore a visible circle of bruises left by someone gripping her too hard.
The culprit was the man in front of her.
Her husband forced a smile and nodded, accepting blame. “Yes.”
He adjusted his position, bringing Yanchuan’s warm, delicate palm to his forehead, coaxing her. “I was too much; I made Babe angry…”
He really had no self-awareness.
Yanchuan pursed her lips, recognizing how shameless this NPC in front of her was.
But now she had to go along with the conversation.
Yanchuan huffed, her tone slightly poor: “You’re not being sincere.”
She withdrew her hand and walked into the bedroom, closing the door, leaving just a crack.
Her husband followed closely behind, obedient and submissive, his head bowed in a pleasing manner.
Yanchuan didn’t even glance at the man outside, only revealing her pair of jet-black, glossy eyes.
“Tonight, you sleep on the sofa,” she pressed her lips together, her tone soft but clearly upset.
“This is a punishment.”
**The author has something to say:**
The consequence of deceiving one’s wife.
Well, I want to try a mechanism for additional updates, such as adding an extra update for every 500 units of nutritional liquid or when saving +100 from a column, is that okay? (shyly)

Chapter 29: Apartment No. 13
Punishment?
The man outside the door paused for a moment, his pitch-black eyes rare to show a hint of doubt, seemingly pondering why Yanchuan would say such a thing.
His wife was so gentle and spoke so softly, how could she lock him out?
Her husband stood behind the door with his head down, his tall figure looking somewhat hesitant.
A little light seeped through the crack of the door, illuminating the pretty little face inside perfectly. Her snow-white skin, delicate eyebrows, rosy lips, and even the small curve of her upturned nose were all adorable.
His wife pressed her lips together, showing a not-so-happy expression.
It seemed she was truly upset.
“It’s a punishment.”
Fearing the man outside might force his way in, Yanchuan placed her fingers on the doorknob, using her body to block the entrance.
Yanchuan added, “You need to reflect on yourself.”
She said this while still blocking the door, yet she had to expose half her face, those glossy black eyes trained on her husband, her lashes fluttering gently.
While she spoke, Yanchuan even pulled her collar down a little to reveal the delicate red marks on her snowy shoulder, showing them to her husband outside.
“They haven’t faded yet.”
Her tone was a bit harsh; she didn’t even look at him but kept her lips pressed tightly together, as if she were waiting for her husband to admit his mistakes and appease her, regardless of the reasoning.
She was truly spoiled.
But when she looked at others with this expression, it involuntarily made them want to comply with her wishes.
Outside, her husband, seeing her with such eyes, gradually began to reflect on his own wrongdoing.
