The former is quite challenging, but Task Three isn’t exactly simple either.
After returning, Yan Chuan carefully reviewed the rules of the activity. He needs to team up with someone else, and his teammate can be chosen at will. First, he must stream his own show for a week before entering the competition.
According to common sense, he should find a suitable partner—one who can coordinate with him and is eager to strive for the first place. But where on earth can he find such a perfectly suited person?
Yan Chuan fell into deep thought.
Firstly, this person must be a streamer. Of course, he noticed from past videos that there were cases where non-streamers teamed up, but an unfamiliar participant could easily cause discord during the live broadcast, posing significant risks overall.
Secondly, they need to match the current theme of his live stream. After all, it’s a simulated dating game, and the audience comes to watch simulated romances unfold. A pairing that appears mismatched or lacks chemistry would have a very slim chance of success.
For instance, as a cross-dressing streamer with a slight gaming tag, teaming up with someone involved in extreme sports wouldn’t be appropriate at all. Regular streamers might not even know what content to prepare for such a collaboration.
Finally, the person must willingly strive together for the top spot. Since it’s a dating duo, the other party shouldn’t be a drag.
Considering all these factors, finding this person is quite difficult.
Yan Chuan had only been at this script for a month. How could he cast his net wide to find a suitable streaming partner? During a previous invitation review in the back end, the series of blunt messages and photographs nearly terrified him. He managed to pick out just one option that looked decent—a spade.
If he were to ask in the live stream whether anyone wanted to join him for this activity, it would definitely create some commotion.
Yan Chuan is not keen on witnessing a repeat of that awkward scene again.
However, regarding potential candidates, he actually has a few in mind.
The first is Keli. They have streamed together numerous times, and the viewers in his stream are quite familiar with Keli, so it seems they would be fairly accepted.
But Yan Chuan isn’t sure if Keli would participate in this competition or if he would join just for Yan Chuan. The latter half of that statement truly reflects his uncertainty about how to face Keli.
Keli displays a tendency to act as if he really likes Yan Chuan. Even though he usually presents himself as a proud, rebellious youth, he often shows a bashful demeanor around Yan Chuan—almost like a shy novice.
He seems ready to declare his feelings at any moment.
Asking if Keli would like to join him for this competition might lead to some awkward thoughts.
Yan Chuan feels a bit hesitant.
In this script, he appears to have a slight playboy nature… he cannot convince himself to deceive someone so transparently.
He is simply trying to play his role well in this escape-themed simulation and harbors no ulterior motives.
Even though he had a playboy persona in the last script as well.
Yan Chuan touched his slightly flushed cheeks, feeling embarrassed as he lowered his head.
The second candidate is Li.
Since the last time Yan Chuan bumped into him in the elevator and pointed out his identity, Li has been frequently approaching him.
It’s not merely out of boredom—every time he has a solid reason. For example, he might have made some new snacks and wants Yan Chuan to try them and share his feedback; or he asks about some streaming topics, attempting to appear together in the live stream, which has received positive reactions.
Moreover, Li’s culinary skills are surprisingly impressive. They are hard to refuse for someone like Yan Chuan, who usually eats staff meals all the time.
Every time, Li brings a plate over with words that leave Yan Chuan unable to turn him away, and before he knows it, he has been fed plenty of food.
It seems Li has forgotten that Yan Chuan once made a hasty exit from his place and how he was once interrogated about whether his lips were soft.
Thinking back, Yan Chuan feels a bit regretful, yet Li is a fellow streamer, making him a potential candidate.
However, considering Li’s specific identity and some odd behaviors previously exhibited, Yan Chuan deducts a few points from him.
Finally, there’s the last option—hearts of spades, someone he has yet to meet in person but has only interacted with online.
Their live streaming content seems quite proper. Although Yan Chuan has no previous engagement in that area, he can always consider it when collaborating.
But since he has never met the heart of spades in person, he knows very little about him.
What does this person look like, what is his personality like, and is he willing to participate in this activity with him? All these remain unknown.
After thinking for so long, Yan Chuan still can’t figure out who to choose.
But the deadline for signing up for the activity is less than a week away. No matter how much he puzzles over it, he must make a choice soon.
Yan Chuan pressed his lips together in contemplation.
He truly doesn’t know who to pick, or perhaps it might be a good option to leave the decision-making to the viewers in the live stream?
This idea seemingly popped out of nowhere. After pondering it for a bit, Yan Chuan felt there could be some feasibility in it.
Firstly, the theme of this activity is “dating.” The viewers are there to watch him fall in love with someone else, not to see anything else. If he picks someone he thinks is suitable but that the audience cannot accept, it would be futile.
Secondly, since Yan Chuan is indeed struggling to find a suitable partner, letting the viewers decide might actually be a wise choice.
Thinking about it again, Yan Chuan planned to initiate a vote in the live stream after collaborating with the spade.
Before he knew it, it was the agreed time for Yan Chuan and the spade.
The other party sent him a message in advance, politely asking if he needed a ride. Yan Chuan declined since the location provided by the spade was easy to find.
“I’ve arrived,” Yan Chuan confirmed the address multiple times before sending a message to the spade.
Spade: “Okay.”
Yan Chuan looked around at his surroundings.
It seemed to be a private casino— spacious but with very few people. It could be that the spade had already cleared the area in advance for the sake of the streaming effect.
