“Your Highness, the male insect, I beg you.”
The female insect’s voice was completely hoarse, and her raised neck resembled a swan on the verge of execution. She seemed to be in a lot of pain.
If it was just a light touch… it should be okay, right?
Tong Sui, in a panic, reached out his hand. The contrast between his white fingertips and the cold, lethal wings was stark, sending a jolt through the female insect’s retina. Her eyes were red, nearly bursting from blood vessels, and her breathing was heavy and audible.
Just as his fingertips were about to touch the tip of the icy wing, a bullet shot through the air, striking the out-of-control female insect with precision.
With a thud, the female insect collapsed, still holding onto her obsession, attempting to move towards Tong Sui.
Startled, Tong Sui took a step back, his back colliding with a solid chest.
Suddenly, he felt a hand steadying his shoulder, and a clear, calm voice spoke from behind, “It’s just a tranquillizer; she is not in any life-threatening danger.”
Tong Sui turned around.
A female with short, light-golden hair flashed in front of him, dressed in pristine white military attire adorned with numerous dazzling medals, shining and exuding nobility.
“If you had touched her, it would have left a temporary mark on yourself, allowing her to track you by your scent.”
Tong Sui felt a shock inside, his palm instinctively curling. He hadn’t known that merely touching the female insect’s wing could lead to such serious consequences.
“Your Highness, the Third Prince, are you alright?”
Several hurried subordinates rushed over, bowing respectfully and with admiration towards the handsome golden-haired prince.
Third Prince?
Tong Sui was stunned for a moment, recalling the information delivered by the system about the novel.
This royal figure, Lu Yunyi, had little mention in the text, but the rare remarks described him as a very popular prince among the public. Not only did he possess an S-level spiritual power, but he was also markedly more handsome than other mediocre princes and heirs. The only downside was that he was a female insect and thus had no inheritance rights.
While Tong Sui was lost in thought, Lu Yunyi gracefully removed the pure white gloves from his hands.
He elegantly extended his hand towards Tong Sui, his movements noble and fluid. “I am Lu Yunyi, dear male insect. Would it be too much to hope to know your name?”
Tong Sui hesitated, curling his fingers nervously, and took a few seconds to clumsily stretch out his hand.
“Tong… Tong Sui.”
“Tong Sui…”
Lu Yunyi softly murmured the name, imbued with a touch of affection. He raised his head to smile gently. “If I’m not being too presumptuous, I would like to become friends and exchange contact information.”
Lu Yunyi’s demeanour and etiquette were impeccable. As royalty, he bore none of the arrogance one might expect, especially since he had saved Tong Sui just moments ago.
Tong Sui found it difficult to refuse.
A name was added to his otherwise blank contact list.
He meticulously modified the notes before raising his gaze.
He noticed the female insect, who had fainted, being dragged away by several military females.
Suddenly, he remembered the strict protective regulations regarding male insects in this world and turned to Lu Yunyi.
“Will there be serious penalties for her?”
“Yes. According to interstellar laws, any female insect that harasses a valuable male insect without permission commits a serious crime. She will be prosecuted and face at least ten years of imprisonment.”
Tong Sui furrowed his brow.
While it’s true that male insects need protection, the severity of the sentence and the double standards were difficult for him to adapt to, having lived in a relatively fair society for over a decade.
The female military officer next to Lu Yunyi leaned in and whispered something in his ear.
“Understood.” Lu Yunyi’s expression bore a hint of apology as he looked at Tong Sui.
“It’s been nice meeting you today, Tong Sui, but unfortunately, I have some urgent duties to attend to. I must take my leave for now.”
He turned to the two military females nearby and called them over.
The military females responded respectfully, “Your Highness, please command us.”
While smiling at Tong Sui, Lu Yunyi’s demeanour shifted to seriousness when addressing the two military females.
“To prevent any repeat of what just happened, I am leaving you two here to ensure the safety of Tong Sui. There must be no lapses, understood?”
“Yes! Your Highness!”
Lu Yunyi nodded and said to Tong Sui, “Then I will take my leave first, Your Highness Tong Sui.”
Tong Sui nodded.
As he watched the distance grow between them, he felt a bit dizzy.
However, he didn’t forget the purpose of his visit.
Meanwhile, the other female insects around Tong Sui, although eager to make a move, could only suppress their impulses after the earlier commotion and with the presence of the two military females that Lu Yunyi left behind.
They seemed to be doing their own things, yet they all watched Tong Sui intently.
He then walked towards an empty window seat and sat down.
“Hello, what business would you like to conduct—”
The female service assistant turned her head and froze upon seeing Tong Sui, the rehearsed lines evaporating from her mind, leaving only blankness.
My goodness.
How could there be such a handsome male insect?!
The distance was too close; he looked so young, and his hair looked soft enough to touch.
Could he really be an adult male insect?
As the assistant stood there in silence, Tong Sui proactively said, “Hello, I have already registered my basic information on the Star Network, and I wish to submit a marriage application for a military female.”
Even his voice was pleasing to the ear—gentle and polite, and he spoke formally to her.
The female service assistant felt a bit giddy.
Wait a minute—
She suddenly realized what the beautiful male insect had just said.
“You wish to submit a marriage application for a military female?”
