“Tong Sui!”
Tong Sui turned around in confusion and saw a black luxury car pulling up. The window slowly rolled down, revealing three familiar faces: Jiang Zi Yan, Zhong Yi, and Zhou Si Yuan.
How did these three end up together?
Before Tong Sui could think further, the car door opened, and the three of them stepped out simultaneously. In stark contrast to Tong Sui’s casual, haphazard outfit, each of them was dressed sharply, drawing the attention of passersby simply by standing there.
Tong Sui suddenly felt like a gray, ugly duckling in comparison.
Upon closer inspection, however, it was evident that, while they were dressed impressively, there was a noticeable weariness in their eyes, suggesting that they hadn’t been doing well in recent days.
After Tong Sui held hands with Chi Xing Yu and left, none of the subsequent pairings ended up working out.
This was an expected outcome.
After leaving the show, these three who would not have crossed paths otherwise continually received news about Tong Sui online, including their move.
Zhong Yi spoke first, his voice slightly hoarse, “Are you really living with Chi Xing Yu?”
Tong Sui nodded, “Sort of?”
The expressions of the three turned serious, which only heightened the already suffocating atmosphere.
Even though they had already learned about this news online, hearing Tong Sui admit it in person was an entirely different blow—an unwillingly accepted reality that was hard to swallow.
It was Zhou Si Yuan who recovered first, smiling as he said, “Can you take me to see it? I’m also considering buying a place.”
“Um… Okay,” Tong Sui replied.
Thinking they’d all recorded the show together for so long, it didn’t feel right to act distant, so she led the three inside.
The apartment was mostly filled with Tong Sui’s belongings, and with Chi Xing Yu not at home, their expressions lightened a bit.
Zhong Yi walked around the place and concluded it was too small, poorly decorated. He thought it was a shame for Tong Sui to live in such a place, suffering alongside that guy.
“There are upscale villas developed by my family nearby. Xiao Sui, you should just move there; the conditions are much better than here.”
“No, I think this place is fine,” Tong Sui said. “My old room couldn’t even fit a double bed, so this is already great.”
Tong Sui was too easily satisfied.
She clearly deserved better but had been beaten to it by that guy, Chi Xing Yu.
Zhong Yi became more frustrated.
He had thought that after stepping away from the show, his feelings for Tong Sui would gradually fade, but that was just his idealization.
At work, Zhong Yi became absent-minded, making mistakes on even the simplest tasks, until his father could no longer tolerate it and kicked him out.
Without thinking much, he packed his things and booked the next flight to H City without hesitation.
After seeing Tong Sui today, Zhong Yi felt like he had finally come back to life.
Without filming or the crew’s interference, Tong Sui found herself unsure of what to do, especially with the three of them in front of her.
“Can I take a look at your room?” Zhou Si Yuan asked.
“Sure.”
Although she didn’t think there was much to see, she led the way and opened the door.
The other rooms were bare, but this one had clear signs of someone having slept there, with two pillows on the bed.
Across from the bed was a desk with a computer and livestreaming equipment, beside which lay Chi Xing Yu’s practice books.
Just from these traces, one could easily imagine the scene from the previous night, where they all slept on the same bed after finishing their livestream.
Without the constraints of the show, no one knew whether that dog-like Chi Xing Yu would act even more recklessly.
After the room tour, however, the group showed no signs of leaving. Tong Sui felt a bit awkward and said, “I have to start my livestream soon…”
She thought gently suggesting it would make them understand her meaning, but it ended up turning into the current awkward scene—
Tong Sui began her livestream, and the other three settled around her, reminding one of the curious bunch often found in an internet café, watching someone else surf the web.
The viewers pouring into the livestream noticed that Tong Sui wasn’t using her camera today; instead, they were shown her computer’s desktop.
Most of the audience had come for her fair, beautiful face, and they began urging:
— Turn on the camera!
— Xiao Sui, hurry up and show your face, we’re waiting!
— Sweetheart, you’ve been streaming a lot lately, open the camera so Mommy can give you kisses.
The comments were filled with requests for her to turn on the camera. Naturally, Tong Sui didn’t want them to see that there were other people in her room, fearing that she would be misunderstood and teased. She replied, “I didn’t rest well yesterday, so I look too ugly. How about I just stream like this?”
— ? Didn’t rest well? Did you go too hard last night?
— I don’t believe it, unless you turn on the camera so we can see how ugly you really are.
— Do you think we’re outsiders?
— No need to argue, I was too indulgent last night, I’ll be more careful next time—won’t leave marks on my face again.
— Chi Xing Yu? LS, say something!
The audience clearly didn’t buy Tong Sui’s excuse and became more raucous, with comments getting increasingly outrageous.
Tong Sui had no choice but to reluctantly turn on the camera.
On screen, apart from the central figure of Tong Sui, there were three unknown men—somehow appearing—each flawless in their outfit and looks.
Together, they formed a picturesque visual feast.
The comments exploded:
— ???
— What is this, a limited-time return scene from season three? Love it, love it!
— @Chi Xing Yu, where are you?! You’ve been home-wrecked!
— Xiao Sui is getting better at hiding men from Mommy now, lying that she’s too ugly! Mommy just wants to smother that face with kisses!
Tong Sui quickly explained, “They’re just here to hang out with me.”
— Hang out? Hang out with you?
