The twisted and deformed chair and cage made one imagine how painful and excruciating this process could be.
Tong Sui asked, “Is this your method?”
Separated by a protective barrier, Bai Xingluo lifted his sweat-dampened lashes, the reflection of Tong Sui visible in his scarlet eyes. The bite restraint on his mouth made him appear like a solitary and fierce wolf.
Yet, upon closer inspection, his eyes held a sense of shame and helplessness, as if he had laid bare his most despicable side, bleeding and exposed before the one he loved and cherished the most.
He spoke in a low, hoarse voice, “I am safe now. Please don’t leave me.”
As soon as his words fell, Tong Sui stood up.
Panic surged through Bai Xingluo, his pupils narrowing slightly.
“Don’t go, I will really get better.”
However, contrary to his thoughts, the approaching footsteps grew louder against the clean marble floor as Tong Sui walked toward him.
When Tong Sui reached the door of the confinement room, another wave of panic rose in Bai Xingluo. He looked down at the clean surface of the shoe, just one step away from the lead-gray concrete ground.
That was his most hidden world, full of gloom, pain, and struggle.
With a rare hint of panic, Bai Xingluo said in a low voice, “Please don’t come closer, it’s too dirty here.”
But Tong Sui did not pause, stepping directly into the dreary space.
He walked straight in, bathed in the light that streamed through the window, much like the moon descending from the sky to approach him.
Bai Xingluo’s pupils trembled uncontrollably.
The air was filled with decay and chill until Tong Sui opened the cold iron door, allowing a hint of soft sweetness to seep in.
His pale fingertips brushed over the hard metal bite restraint, feeling Bai Xingluo’s rapid breaths, the warm air hitting his fingertips.
“Is this how you endure it every time?”
His voice was soft, echoing slightly in the narrow confinement room while snow-white fingertips hovered before Bai Xingluo’s eyes.
Bai Xingluo pressed against the cold metal, unable to help himself, but the icy barrier kept him from touching Tong Sui, causing an increasing anxiety.
His hands were bound behind him, the straps made of a special material he couldn’t open himself. His instinctive struggles resulted in numerous deep scratches of varying depths on his wrists.
“Stop moving.”
Bai Xingluo obediently ceased his movements immediately.
The cool fingers searched downward through the fabric of his sleeves, making Bai Xingluo squint his eyes in a daze until he felt the strap on his wrist being touched.
He jolted awake, “My lord, we can’t undo this.”
“Why not?”
This was his final restriction.
“I would harm you,” Bai Xingluo’s fingers clenched into fists, “A military male with a violent spiritual power is like a mad dog; I could do anything.”
“You’re not a mad dog.”
Tong Sui released his spiritual power.
He wasn’t very good at controlling it yet, but he tried his best to let it flow. The sweet scent instantly entangled Bai Xingluo’s restless spiritual energy.
The sweet aroma spread, and Bai Xingluo trembled all over, his eyes darting between scarlet and blue.
It was working.
As the spiritual energies merged, an unprecedented pleasure exploded in Bai Xingluo’s mind, soothing every nerve to the greatest extent.
The scarlet in his eyes slowly faded away, turning into a deep blue like the ocean.
At the same time, Tong Sui unfastened the straps on Bai Xingluo’s wrist.
Sitting in the chair, Bai Xingluo immediately ripped off the bite restraint from his face. With a clang, the metal hit the ground as he leaned forward, breathing rapidly.
“My lord, I have given you many chances to leave.”
From an angle where Tong Sui could not see, Bai Xingluo’s deep, mysterious gaze was filled with alarming obsession and pathology.
Tong Sui closed his eyes, his long lashes trembling. He heard a low, magnetic voice by his ear, “I’m not a mad dog; I’m the little dog of my lord.”
Tong Sui’s ears immediately began to itch.
But Bai Xingluo was perhaps too excited; he kept speaking, “Why don’t you look at me? Are you thinking about other dogs, that Third Prince or that pitiful Pain-and-Honor? Are they better than me?”
“Shut up, just kill them all.”
Tong Sui’s originally pale ears turned crimson red. Hearing Bai Xingluo’s standard villainous remarks, he had no choice but to open his eyes again, his vision somewhat blurred as he looked at him.
Noticing that Tong Sui’s gaze had returned to him, Bai Xingluo’s eyes clearly brightened with excitement.
He obviously didn’t think there was anything wrong with his words, like a little dog being rewarded.
His eyes appeared to normalize a bit; they had been red before, but now it was at least possible to see the original blue.
Tong Sui asked, “Do you feel a little better now?”
Bai Xingluo shook his head. He bit his lip and hoarsely stated, “Aside from calming the spiritual power, there is another way for a military male to achieve better results—”
Hearing the last few words, Tong Sui almost jumped up, his cheeks burning red, “No, that’s not possible!”
This was too much to ask!
He hadn’t even had his first kiss; how could he possibly think about doing such things?
But Bai Xingluo quickly wrapped around him, hugging his waist. Sitting in this position made him shorter than Tong Sui. When he looked up, his long hair fell gracefully like mercury, his voice trembling slightly, surprisingly exhibiting a hint of fragility, “Really not allowed?”
