Tong Sui, with his messy hair and slippers on the wrong feet, contrasted sharply with Chi Xingyu, who looked stylish and composed, exuding a cool male god aura.
After returning to his room, Tong Sui struggled for a moment before lying back on his little bed. He was too tired. He needed to sleep for another five minutes.
Chi Xingyu watched as Tong Sui wrapped himself in his blanket, sleeping defenselessly in front of him, half of his face buried in the soft bedding. He didn’t try to wake Tong Sui but simply sat quietly to the side, wearing headphones and catching up on the online classes he had missed over the past few days.
Tong Sui initially planned to sleep for just a few more minutes, but eventually fell deep asleep. When he finally woke up and stretched, he turned his head and was startled to see Chi Xingyu sitting in the chair, looking at him.
He had completely forgotten Chi Xingyu was here and thought he was still dreaming.
“Are you going to get up?” Chi Xingyu removed his headphones.
Tong Sui felt a bit embarrassed and rubbed his nose. “What time is it?”
“It’s noon.”
Tong Sui felt even more embarrassed. Chi Xingyu had come over to help him move, and here he was, hiding under the blanket and sleeping for hours, leaving him alone. He cautiously observed Chi Xingyu’s expression and saw no sign of impatience.
Only then did Tong Sui breathe a sigh of relief and get up to wash up.
Since Tong Sui woke up so late, it was already afternoon by the time they finished eating and began packing things. He didn’t finish until late in the evening.
By the time they arrived at the new house, it was dark outside.
Tong Sui was so exhausted that his calves trembled as he pitifully leaned back against the sofa. The sofa, ordered by Chi Xingyu the day before, was a soft beige color, and the other furniture in the room was warm-toned, creating a cozy atmosphere.
Chi Xingyu didn’t seem to get tired at all. As soon as they returned, he started helping Tong Sui with the arrangements, even finding special display cabinets for the dresses and accessories. The setup of the other items was also replicated as closely as possible to their original arrangement.
If it weren’t for Chi Xingyu’s help, Tong Sui felt he would have been worn out from doing it all alone.
After working until past ten at night, Chi Xingyu finally stopped. “Can you see if there’s anything missing or if you’re unsatisfied with something?”
Tong Sui shook his head.
This new apartment was much larger than his previous one, with even the bedroom containing a spacious double bed.
Chi Xingyu said, “Since it’s getting late, you should go wash up and rest. I’ll head back.”
“Eh?” Tong Sui was taken aback and quickly grabbed Chi Xingyu’s sleeve. “You’re leaving?”
It wasn’t surprising that he felt shocked since Chi Xingyu had organized everything. He thought Chi Xingyu would naturally stay.
Chi Xingyu wished he could stay so badly that he felt like he would go crazy, but he repeatedly reminded himself not to rush. Being in a relationship wasn’t something to be rushed; everything had to be done step by step—absolutely no rushing!
Tong Sui asked again, “Are you really not staying? That bed is quite big.”
Chi Xingyu replied, “…I’ll stay.”
Chi Xingyu had not expected Tong Sui to genuinely want him to stay, and he even agreed to share a bed.
He let out a long breath.
Determined to perform well today, he decided to hold back and not engage in any excessive behavior.
“You didn’t bring any spare clothes, so just wear mine for now,” he said.
Tong Sui turned around and saw Chi Xingyu standing there, seemingly lost in thought. He handed over the sleepwear he had unfolded, saying, “There aren’t any new ones. This one is a size too big; I’ve only worn it once, and it’s already clean. You don’t mind, do you?”
“N-No, I don’t mind.”
Chi Xingyu dazedly accepted the sleepwear from Tong Sui and walked into the bathroom.
The fabric of the sleepwear was soft, an ordinary style and color, but because it had been worn by Tong Sui, it carried a mysterious allure.
A crack seemed to open up in his heart, and the eagerness that poured out quickly filled his entire chest. He slowly lowered his head, pressing the tip of his well-defined nose into the clothing he held.
He took a deep breath.
There was a faint scent of laundry detergent, along with the unique fragrance belonging to Tong Sui.
Due to time, it had faded significantly.
But even so, it was enough to instantly intoxicate Chi Xingyu.
In the enclosed bathroom, Chi Xingyu was alone. He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror, holding the clothes and smelling them; no matter how he looked at it, his actions seemed inappropriate, stirring up a sense of shame within him.
Finally, reluctantly placing the clothing aside, he stepped into the shower enclosed by glass.
Even though it was already autumn, Chi Xingyu only dared to take a cold shower, trying to eliminate the heat from his body in this way.
Cold water droplets fell from the showerhead above.
Chi Xingyu’s black hair was soaked, and his body displayed just the right amount of muscles. Although he was still quite young, he had shed his past boyish frailty; his physique was well-proportioned, not too exaggerated, just enough to be pleasing to the eye.
After being drenched, his muscles tensed slightly.
Particularly noticeable were the muscles in his arms, distinctly defined, with bulging veins snaking from his forearm to the back of his hand.
He reached out his hand beneath the flow of water, squeezing a few pumps of body wash into his palm.
His hands were beautiful.
They were the type that would generate countless screenshots during competitions, and at this moment, his fingers were even redder than usual, with a heat that water could not extinguish.
Floating in the air was the unique scent of Tong Sui. Whenever Chi Xingyu closed his eyes, he would experience a strong illusion that it wasn’t this fragrance enveloping him but something else entirely.
This secret, guilty, and shameful feeling was suppressed by an even more intense emotion.
Alongside the sound of running water from the showerhead were heavy breaths, and droplets of water splattered against the damp walls, sliding down due to gravity.
Tong Sui…
He repeatedly whispered that name in his heart, inhaling the almost imperceptible scent in the air, his mind filled with thoughts of Tong Sui.
