He reached out his finger and touched the hem of the dress, his ears reddening even more.
When Tong Sui turned around, she saw Chi Xingyu standing in front of the row of clothes. She hurried over, blocking his view, feeling a bit embarrassed as their eyes met.
“I don’t wear these often, just for livestreams. You understand, right?”
Chi Xingyu nodded in agreement.
Tong Sui quickly pulled him down to sit on the edge of the bed, as the only other chair in the room was the gaming chair. Once Chi Xingyu sat down, he noticed that the bed Tong Sui was sleeping on was quite a standard single bed, and the whole room was so small that there wasn’t even space for an extra mattress to sleep on the floor.
Even if he wanted to find an excuse to stay, there wouldn’t be enough room for him.
This made him furrow his brow.
Chi Xingyu suggested, “I have a house not far from here, and it’s much bigger. Why don’t you consider moving to a different place?”
Tong Sui replied, “I’m thinking of looking for an apartment near H University; it will be more convenient once school starts.”
So, after finishing dinner, Chi Xingyu took Tong Sui directly to the property sales office.
Tong Sui asked, “Why are we here? We just want to rent an apartment.”
He had more money than before, but buying a house in the expensive H City was still a distant goal.
Chi Xingyu responded, “I’ll buy a place and give it to you.”
Tong Sui suspected she misheard and pinched his earlobe, asking, “Are you serious?”
“Of course.”
It seemed normal to him to give a gift to his boyfriend.
Looking seriously into Chi Xingyu’s eyes, Tong Sui said, “Aren’t you afraid I might be lying? That I just want your money?”
“If you’re willing to keep looking for me, then I’m willing to be fooled by you for a lifetime,” Chi Xingyu said earnestly. “I’m willing.”
Tong Sui whispered, “Do you really like me that much?”
“I do, very much,” Chi Xingyu said as he leaned in, wrapping his arms around her waist and leaning down to rub against her pale neck. “No one has ever made me feel this way. Baby, you said you wanted to try with me, and I’ve been excited all night, wanting to give you everything so that you might like me a little more.”
Chi Xingyu was glued to Tong Sui and couldn’t stand it any longer. He looked at her, almost half-embracing her, from viewing the house to the purchase—it all happened in just half a day.
Tong Sui was adamant that her name shouldn’t be on the property deed. Although Chi Xingyu had to give in on that point, he was still just as excited that Tong Sui could live in the house he bought.
“When are you going to move in?”
Chi Xingyu was already fantasizing about their future life together.
Just the two of them, without cameras or a bunch of people that made him uncomfortable.
The house he bought was nicely furnished and ready to move in.
It was only a few hundred meters from H University.
He could take Tong Sui to school and even attend classes with her.
His thoughts were practically painted all over his face.
Tong Sui responded, “Tomorrow?”
“Really?” Chi Xingyu’s heart was overjoyed, but he still pretended to be restrained and asked, “So can I move in too?”
“It’s your house; whether you stay or not is up to you,” Tong Sui said.
“Can we share the same room?” Chi Xingyu leaned in, ignoring the public setting, wrapping his arm around Tong Sui’s waist. “Please?”
“Alright.”
As soon as Tong Sui’s words fell, Chi Xingyu leaned in to kiss her, his excitement visibly bubbling over as he asked, “Should we buy some furniture too?”
“Or do you want to eat something first?”
Tong Sui was the type that didn’t have many specific demands about these things; she simply said everything was fine.
This gave Chi Xingyu a lot of leeway to explore.
He browsed through nearly all the furnishings, and Tong Sui suspected that if time hadn’t been pressing, he would have wanted to tear down the structure and renovate everything from scratch.
After all, it was their first cohabitation place.
Chi Xingyu’s mind was full of thoughts about creating a unique home just for them.
When they entered the furniture store, some pictures of them were taken and posted online.
“Are they moving in together so soon? [Image] x9”
The comment section exploded instantly.
— “So soon??”
— “Awww, the CP I ship is real!!”
— “How is it that even in unedited photos, they still look this good?”
— “Can we film an 18+ show about their life after moving in? No other intent, just missing the baby on the first day.”
— “If not, how about going live?”
After Chi Xingyu and Tong Sui finished shopping and had dinner, it was already past eight in the evening.
Tong Sui initially intended to say goodbye, but Chi Xingyu refused to leave so early, insisting he was too tired and wanted to rest at her place first.
Thus, the two returned to Tong Sui’s small room.
After a day of shopping, Tong Sui left Chi Xingyu alone and ran off to take a shower.
Chi Xingyu had originally sat there playing on his phone, waiting for Tong Sui to come out, but the sound insulation in the room was terrible. With only a thin layer of frosted glass between them, he could even hear the sound of water hitting the floor.
He glanced up, and the fogged glass showed a vague shape that was still enough to make his ears turn bright red.
He reminded himself not to look, but every time he lowered his head, he couldn’t help but look again, and the game on his phone was long forgotten.
Tong Sui showered quickly, and when she came out dressed, she found Chi Xingyu staring blankly at the game over screen.
“Did you lose?”
Tong Sui walked over, thinking that Chi Xingyu was upset about losing the game. “Have you not played much lately? Are you not in the right mood?”
