Pool Xingyu simply didn’t want him looking at other people, and what he said was the truth. These people weren’t as appealing as him. If there was a choice to be made, why not choose him?
Tong Sui, unaware of Pool Xingyu’s thoughts, was inundated with messages in his private messages. He approached the situation with a mindset similar to reading letters, taking in whatever he could.
However, this behavior in Pool Xingyu’s eyes took on a completely different nature, as he stared intensely at the content of those messages, nearly piercing the screen with his gaze.
If it were in the past, Pool Xingyu might not have understood the vulgar things this group wrote, but now he probably recognized more terms than Tong Sui.
While Tong Sui was reading for a few minutes, Pool Xingyu was next to him, grunting in dissatisfaction.
“Not all of them are that bad,” Tong Sui remarked. “Look, a graduate student from H University has a much higher degree than you.”
Pool Xingyu replied, “…”
Damn it. There was no way to argue against that.
For the first time, Pool Xingyu realized how disadvantaged he was without a degree; he seemed to have never even received a high school diploma. He wondered if it was still too late to start studying now.
Pool Xingyu pondered as the car arrived at a nearby large commercial street.
As a renowned tourist city, S City had a considerable flow of people, even during the day. To ensure their safety, the program team provided them with masks and glasses to avoid too much commotion, like the last time.
The cameras used for filming were also replaced with more discreet ones. After these preparations were complete, Tong Sui finally got out of the car with Pool Xingyu.
The commercial street was filled with many official mobile phone stores, but Pool Xingyu headed straight to one, taking out his phone.
“I want the same model,” he stated.
Tong Sui asked, “Why do you want the same model?”
“If the quality is bad, would I use it?” Pool Xingyu didn’t push him, adding, “Why don’t you pick one for yourself?”
Tong Sui, completely unaware of the equipment properties in this world, obediently replied, “Alright, let’s just get the same one.”
Pool Xingyu smirked slightly, handed him the phone, and said, “The money has already been paid, let’s go.”
Tong Sui took it and then processed what he had just said, “You don’t have to help me, I have money. I can pay for myself.”
As he turned towards the cashier, he was pulled back by Pool Xingyu’s arm and led out of the store.
“Why don’t you save your money for yourself?” Pool Xingyu said, “If you feel bad about it, how about spending time with me today?”
Tong Sui stuffed the bag containing the phone forward and huffed, “Are you looking down on me?”
Pool Xingyu quickly reassured him, “What are you thinking? I’m just happy that I can let you spend my money; I really want you to keep me company.”
Being nice to someone you like, isn’t spending money on them the most basic thing?
Saying this, he leaned closer and held Tong Sui’s hand, “Don’t be mad; just think of it as a gift from me?”
Tong Sui replied, “Alright, then what do you want in return?”
In return?
Pool Xingyu’s eyes lit up at once, almost excessively bright.
As if he knew what he might say, Tong Sui added, “But nothing like what happened last night.”
“…Alright,” Pool Xingyu responded, “Then let’s go on a date today.”
“A… date?”
Tong Sui’s eyes widened in surprise at his choice of words.
In the ebb and flow of the crowd, couples holding hands were a common sight.
Pool Xingyu lightly cleared his throat and silently tightened his grip on Tong Sui’s hand, “Let’s go; there seems to be something interesting up ahead.”
Tong Sui struggled slightly, realizing his hand was gripped even tighter and could only follow him.
Not far ahead was an arcade, attracting many young students and couples.
Even with their disguises blending in with the crowd, their height and silhouettes inevitably drew the attention of many who stole glances at them.
Tong Sui had never visited such a place and was quite curious about the gaming equipment, but there were too many people around, and he felt too shy to play.
“Want to play?” Pool Xingyu asked.
Tong Sui responded, “No, I’ll just watch—”
Before he could finish, he suddenly found his feet off the ground as Pool Xingyu picked him up and gently placed him on a motorcycle game, “But you look like you really want to play.”
The arcade motorcycle had a stable base, but Tong Sui felt a bit dizzy. He grasped Pool Xingyu’s shoulder and whispered, “Pool Xingyu…”
He could feel all the gazes around him, making him want to hide under Pool Xingyu’s clothes like an ostrich.
“We’re on a date,” Pool Xingyu dismissed the opinions of the onlookers and said lightly, “Alright, sit tight; I’m putting in the coins.”
Tong Sui quietly affirmed and adjusted himself, placing his legs over the motorcycle while leaning down to grip the handlebars.
The commotion around them faded away.
More eyes fixed on Tong Sui, almost invisibly.
Today, Tong Sui wore a relatively fitted shirt and simple black pants, with his top tucked in.
His body proportions were good, and the motion of leaning down accentuated the attractive lines from his shoulders and waist, complemented by his slim waist and slender legs straddling the cold, dark motorcycle, creating a striking contrast of styles.
Bullet comments:
— Ahhh, my Sui’s waist!! Sui’s legs!!
— At this moment, I’m the motorcycle beneath him.
— Babe, whatever motorcycle you want to ride, please come ride me instead.
Tong Sui played the game seriously, while Pool Xingyu, standing beside him, cursed silently.
He noticed the deeper meanings hidden in those gazes; did they think anyone could covet them? They resembled a group of toads looking to eat a swan.
After the game ended, Tong Sui looked at the popped-up screen.
His score beat 99% of the players.
For a moment, Tong Sui forgot about the stares around him and proudly turned to Pool Xingyu, raising his beautiful eyes, “How’s that? Not bad for my first time playing, right?”
