“What are you nervous about?”
Tong Sui trembled slightly as he felt the chilly sensation trailing up his forearm; the light or heavy touches made him realize that such actions seemed a bit too ambiguous.
“I’m not used to being this close to others…”
As Tong Sui spoke, he attempted to withdraw his hand but felt low breaths brushing against his ear, almost whispering, “How would you know if you don’t try?”
Tong Sui’s body stiffened, unable to believe that these words were spoken by Jiang Ci Yan.
However, the other party did not seem to give him time to hesitate.
He felt warmth and an intense, ticklish sensation at the tips of his ears.
“Hmm.”
A short, restrained sound escaped Tong Sui’s throat.
Jiang Ci Yan let out a brief laugh, his breath brushing against Tong Sui’s ear.
Tong Sui was already very sensitive.
A mere touch made him feel like the leaves of a mimosa, curling up in shyness; he instinctively wanted to reach out and stop Jiang Ci Yan’s teasing behavior.
But his hand was held tightly by Jiang Ci Yan, playfully teased in his grip, and he could even feel the edge of the ring between Jiang Ci Yan’s fingers.
Tong Sui started to panic, “Jiang Ci Yan, I want to sleep.”
“You can sleep.”
His voice was slightly hoarse, yet he had no intention of stopping. His cool lips grazed against Tong Sui’s jaw. Unlike the last time, when there was some distance, this time they were directly against him.
Tong Sui kept trying to retreat but felt tightly held, unable to move, only able to tilt his neck back, hoping to distance himself a bit.
“What are you afraid of?” Jiang Ci Yan whispered, “I know you’re a One.”
Tong Sui paused, his eyes glistening with moisture as he looked at him, “How do you know?”
“I’ve seen your profile,” Jiang Ci Yan replied. “But others shouldn’t know, right? Would Chi Xingyu be willing to be the bottom?”
Tong Sui had never thought about such a question; the image of Chi Xingyu’s usual cold face flashed in his mind, leaving him momentarily blank.
The slightly rough pads of Jiang Ci Yan’s fingers caressed his cheek, “He has a quick temper and gets angry easily; you don’t have to choose him. Xiao Sui, you have better options.”
A warm touch landed on his eyelids.
The bewitching voice echoed in the dark, his movements not urgent but slowly crossing boundaries, encroaching on territory that did not belong to him.
Like a soft yet dense spider web, it would eventually ensnare the prey without escape.
When Tong Sui came back to his senses, a few buttons on his loose pajamas had come undone.
In a panic, he pushed Jiang Ci Yan away, rolled off the bed, and stepped onto the cold floor, which made him more awake.
“No…”
Jiang Ci Yan stared at his empty palm for two seconds, then slowly raised his head to meet Tong Sui’s tear-streaked face.
Moonlight poured over the boy, enveloping him in a silvery glow; it seemed like only a few steps separated them, yet it was as distant as a chasm.
“Why are you hiding?”
Jiang Ci Yan slowly sat up on the bed, his gaze cooler than the moonlight, as if he were completely sober after making those ambiguous movements, “Didn’t you react?”
Being called out, Tong Sui’s face instantly turned crimson, and he didn’t dare to look Jiang Ci Yan in the eyes, lowering his head to stammer, “I… I’m a bit thirsty, I’ll go get some water.”
As he spoke, he hurriedly opened the door and slammed it shut behind him.
Jiang Ci Yan lowered his head, concealing the unclear emotions in his eyes.
Tong Sui leaned against the door, almost collapsing on the floor, his heart racing, his pajamas hanging loosely on him.
The lingering sensations on his body seemed to insistently remind him of what had just happened.
He took a moment to gather himself, pushed against the floor to stand upright, trembling fingers re-buttoning the loosened buttons, and shakily walked down the stairs, holding onto the railing.
At the corner of the staircase, a shadow appeared out of nowhere.
Tong Sui was startled.
He took a breath of relief when he saw it was Chi Xingyu, but remembering their earlier conflict, his tone wasn’t as friendly.
“What are you doing standing here in the middle of the night?”
Chi Xingyu, instead of being upset by Tong Sui’s tone, replied, “I heard the door close and wanted to see if it was you.”
He kept his eyes on Tong Sui as he spoke.
Despite the dim light, Tong Sui was still worried he would reveal something, so he merely murmured an “oh” and walked past him directly to the kitchen for water.
Footsteps followed behind him; unexpectedly, Chi Xingyu had come along.
Tong Sui could only pretend he didn’t see him.
After all, the first floor was so spacious; he had no reason to ask Chi Xingyu to leave.
He raised his head and gulped down most of the water in his cup but still felt a bit restless.
Standing beside him, Chi Xingyu understood and fetched him more water, filling the cup before handing it to him, “What I said this afternoon was really stupid; please don’t be mad, okay?”
Tong Sui glared at him fiercely.
“Who did you call an idiot this afternoon?”
Chi Xingyu felt as if he had been lightly scratched, his heart racing; it seemed that any emotion, except Tong Sui ignoring him, made him exhilarated.
“It’s me.” Chi Xingyu said, “Could you calm down, please? Xiao Sui.”
Night owls watching the livestream:
— Chi God, where’s your finesse? You really look like a simp right now.
— Xiao Sui: Nailed it.
— Chi: Breaking character? What’s that? Is having a girlfriend more important?
— The downfall of the sharp-tongued has turned hilarious.
— At this moment, those who’ve been roasted by Chi God finally feel the joy of revenge.
Tong Sui huffed, drank the water Chi Xingyu handed him and said, “Help me wash the cup.”
“Okay.”
Chi Xingyu happily took it and washed it clean without showing the slightest impatience at being asked to do so.
Having just drunk a bellyful of water, Tong Sui felt his earlier heat dissipate, but he hesitated, not wanting to go back immediately.
