池星宇 sighed in silence. He had seen people with an annoying nature before, but童岁 took it to a whole new level. Even after being wrongly accused,池星宇 found himself unperturbed, simply sitting quietly and watching他 play.
After a few attempts,童岁 realized he was still stuck at the same level. He appeared a bit restless, yet the desire to pass the game compelled him to keep trying. Eventually, he realized he was still unable to progress.
Thinking of how calmly池星宇 had played the game, he wondered why it looked so simple in his hands. Unconsciously, he glanced over.
池星宇 said, “Can I talk now?”
“When did I ever say you couldn’t?” 童岁 completely forgot his previous words and shoved the iPad back towards him. “I can’t get through.”
“Oh, you want me to help you,”池星宇 rested his chin on his hand, teasingly replying, “You’re not very polite at that.”
“What do you want then?”
童岁 looked at him, sensing an innocent and unguarded purity about池星宇. It stirred something within他, and he impulsively blurted, “Bite me.”
“What?”
童岁 doubted he had heard him right. His surprised expression made his eyes rounder than usual, appearing even more delightful, leading one to imagine how much cuter he would be if things got a bit bolder.
池星宇 gulped unconsciously, aware of an unusual itch beneath his teeth, like a young wolf feeling hungry.
“池星宇,”童岁 called urgently.
池星宇 snapped back to reality, realizing that what he had just said was inappropriate. Wouldn’t it sound like he was being a rogue? He coughed lightly, lowering his head to focus on the screen. “Watch closely; I’ll show you my real skill.”
Feeling 童岁’s gaze on him sparked a sense of genuine satisfaction in池星宇, and his fingers moved faster over the controls. These games posed no challenge for him.
童岁, on the other hand, looked wide-eyed beside him. He had thought he had seen池星宇 at his peak speed earlier, but clearly underestimated the hand speed of an esports player.
Comments streamed in, noting:
– “This is the kind of speed you can only get after being single for eighteen years.”
– “At this moment, I share the same shocked expression as岁岁.”
– “If hands move this fast, it can be a huge advantage not just in gaming but in other areas too.”
– “What do I do if I understood that a little too quickly? I feel flushed.”
After easily passing the level,池星宇 raised an eyebrow at童岁. “Impressive, right?”
“Very impressive,” 童岁 admitted.
With that affirmation,池星宇’s smile grew wider, and he opened a simpler game. “Try this one; the last one wasn’t suitable for you.”
“Oh…”
All the games were just time-killers anyway; playing any of them was about the same. 童岁 obediently took it up and began playing.
池星宇 opened a few bags of snacks, munching while watching 童岁.
As the smell wafted towards him,童岁 turned his head.
池星宇 paused with the chips in hand. “Want some?”
童岁, tempted but unable to adjust his hands away from the game, just opened his mouth towards him.
His naturally rosy lips and the tip of his tongue shyly peeking out were like vibrant rose petals, glistening with dew.
One could easily envision that, like flower petals, they might leak sweetness when pressed.
Focused on the game,童岁 didn’t notice his unusual behavior.
池星宇 offered a chip.
As童岁 opened his mouth to take it, the warmth of his lips brushed against his fingertips in a gentle touch, like a raindrop falling.
池星宇 felt his previously hidden desires muddied further, as a swirling storm of thoughts he had never considered took form after that night.
They could be closer.
童岁 was blissfully unaware of 倪’s thoughts, crunching away at the snack, behaving like an unsuspecting little lamb.
Circumstances that were more enticing than snacks stirred something deeper within池星宇. He continued eating, finding the snacks tasteless, even though he finished a whole bucket without feeling satisfied.
When童岁 turned back, he caught sight of池星宇’s expression. “Are you very hungry?”
池星宇 nodded.
童岁 recalled it was a day off for everyone, and池星宇 had no cooking skills, with zero ability to make something himself.
He set the iPad down. “I’ll check the kitchen.”
池星宇, seeing 童岁 head towards the kitchen, quickly followed. “It really doesn’t have to be this troublesome.”
What he needed was more than what words could express.
In the kitchen, 童岁 searched around. Though he couldn’t cook, he had watched his beloved cook many times across various worlds, so making something simple shouldn’t be too hard.
So, he boiled a pot of water and added some noodles. While waiting, he also grabbed an egg.
Clearly, he hadn’t done this often, as he was a bit rough cracking the egg and accidentally dropped some shell pieces inside.
Feeling sheepish, he used chopsticks to fish out the shells before spreading the egg mixture in the pot, deciding to fry the egg.
With the heat on high, the egg mixture quickly solidified.
Realizing he needed a spatula, he hurried to find one and then discovered he hadn’t added any oil, causing it to stick to the pan.
He fumbled to flip the egg over, struggling more than while gaming. Meanwhile, the water in the other pot began boiling and overflowed.
The odd smell caught his attention, and when he turned to see that mess, he rushed to lift the lid.
In his haste, he accidentally brushed his hand against the hot rim of the pot, causing him to wince as he pulled back his hand quickly.
His fair fingertips immediately turned red.
