Tong Sui instinctively felt that he had entered someone else’s private territory. He quickly stood up and said, “Sorry! I didn’t know this seat was taken.”
His temper was surprisingly good; he didn’t get angry despite being expelled like that.
However, the few boys who had come specifically to block him became anxious and reflexively blocked Tong Sui’s way.
Tong Sui raised an eyebrow in confusion: “?”.
He looked up, slightly furrowing his brows, which made him even more attractive.
The sports student standing in front of him momentarily lost his breath, coming back to his senses after a few seconds, nervously asking, “Um, can I get your contact information?”
The boy had a very handsome face, and it was clear he had little experience with such things, as his face turned red.
Tong Sui replied, “I’m sorry, but I didn’t bring my phone.”
For a moment, the boy’s eyes dimmed.
In this age where everyone has their phone at hand, Tong Sui’s response was equivalent to a rejection.
Just then, the bell rang for the end of class, and Tong Sui said, “I have to go now.”
After he left, it felt like a group of people was still in a dream, especially the boy who had just interacted with Tong Sui.
When he thought he might never see him again, it felt as if all his strength had been drained.
“Ugh, why do I feel like he looks so familiar?” one shouted, slapping his thigh, “I remembered! My girlfriend has been watching this variety show for the past few days, and he’s one of the guests! My girlfriend has been calling him ‘wifey’!”
So at noon that day, the boy who never watched variety shows opened up a new world.
Tong Sui had no idea that his brief stroll had caused such a psychological impact on others; instead, he obediently returned to the teaching building.
As he approached the classroom, he found it strange that even though class had ended, the classroom where Zhou Siyuan was still had a full house.
With some hesitation, Tong Sui walked inside, only to be surrounded by a group of people.
He stepped back in fear.
A pair of hands gently held his shoulders, helping him regain his balance.
The eager eyes looking at him made Tong Sui feel a bit helpless as he glanced at Zhou Siyuan, clearly unsure how to handle the situation.
Zhou Siyuan lowered his voice, “They really like you. Don’t be scared.”
“Yes, yes! I never thought I would see you in person! It’s really lucky!”
“Can I have your autograph?”
The excited crowd surrounded Tong Sui. Although he was not a small person and was actually among the tallest there, his slim physique gave off a fragile impression.
Tong Sui said quietly, “Sure.”
A girl quickly opened the first page of her notebook and excitedly handed him a pen.
Tong Sui had never experienced this before, and his autograph was slow; he was worried it would look bad.
So, when he finished and handed it over, he hesitated a bit.
“Can you see if this is okay?”
The girl only took a glance and then jumped up joyfully, “Thank you, wifey!”
Tong Sui was momentarily stunned, “What?”
He was obviously confused by the title, and the girl quickly covered her mouth, realizing she had said something wrong in her excitement.
Others quickly reacted and handed him more notebooks.
“Can you sign for me too? Please!”
“And me, and me!”
These comments distracted Tong Sui from thinking about the earlier title, and he forgot about it.
Tong Sui had no idea how many names he had signed; some even wanted him to sign on their clothes.
By the end, he vaguely felt his hand was sore, finally concluding.
They were clearly reluctant to leave, but remembering Zhou Siyuan was still there, they didn’t want to be a third wheel.
So they said to Zhou Siyuan, “Good luck, Teacher Zhou!”
Only then did they, with some reluctance, disperse.
Zhou Siyuan and Tong Sui walked out of the teaching building side by side.
At this point, it was still a while before school ended, and there weren’t many people on the road.
Zhou Siyuan asked, “Is there anything you want to eat?”
Tong Sui replied, “I’m fine with anything.”
“Then let’s go to the nearest canteen. They have a lot of specialties there,” Zhou Siyuan said.
Before arriving at the canteen, Tong Sui had considered that there might be a lot of people, but it exceeded his expectations.
They arrived quite late, and holding their trays, they struggled to find a place to sit. Luckily, someone recognized them and kindly gave up their seat.
Tong Sui sighed in relief after placing down his tray.
Zhou Siyuan asked, “How does it feel to experience university life in advance?”
Only then did Tong Sui remember.
In this world, he was not a professional host; once September passed, he would be reporting to H University.
With the program’s compensation, he wouldn’t have to worry about living expenses and tuition for at least four years of college.
Tong Sui said, “It’s pretty good. It’s more free than high school.”
“Why did you want to participate in a dating show with so many people liking you?” Zhou Siyuan questioned. “At your age, there’s no need to rush.”
Zhou Siyuan was quite a bit older than Tong Sui but was still only in his twenties.
His job was stable, and after a few years, he would just keep rising in the same industry, never leaving this circle.
Participating in the program was just an experimental attitude, not expecting to run into Tong Sui again—it’s false to say he wasn’t moved.
But Tong Sui was different from him.
Tong Sui was still young and would meet many people in the future, with unlimited possibilities and choices.
There were many who were more outstanding than him in various fields; at least, he did not stand out in the program.
Sometimes, Zhou Siyuan wondered if maintaining their current distance was the best thing to do.
He couldn’t become the most unique and irreplaceable person in Tong Sui’s life, but there was a possibility of remaining in a friend or confidant capacity.
