He followed Jiang Hua out the door.
The elevator still took a while to come up. Jiang Hua held Tong Sui’s hand, “Make sure to eat well every day.”
“You too,” Tong Sui replied, “Be careful.”
As their eyes met, Jiang Hua suddenly said, “We still have some time.”
He grasped Tong Sui’s slightly fragile shoulder and leaned down for a heavy kiss, hurried yet passionate.
Tong Sui nervously clutched the hem of his shirt.
