He was momentarily stunned.
Looking down, he saw a crystal core. After absorbing it, Jiang Hua placed another one back, repeating the process countless times. As he showed no signs of stopping, Tong Sui clasped his hands together, “I don’t need that many crystal cores for enhancement.”
However, Jiang Hua continued to kiss him, distracting Tong Sui while still not pausing to shove more crystal cores into his hand.
Late at night.
Tong Sui tiredly opened his heavy eyelids and climbed out of bed. His wrinkled pajamas hung loosely, exposing his elegantly curved collarbone.
On his collarbone were varying degrees of kiss marks and bite marks. Apart from that spot, the rest of his body wasn’t in much better condition.
Tong Sui looked towards Jiang Hua.
The culprit had already fallen asleep. Quietly, he took out a swab he had prepared earlier and crept close to the soundly sleeping Jiang Hua.
With the experience of the previous two times, Tong Sui’s courage had grown a bit this time.
He pinched Jiang Hua’s chin, pried his mouth open, and distractedly glanced at Jiang Hua’s sharp canine teeth. No wonder biting hurt so much.
He inserted the swab into Jiang Hua’s mouth, swiped it across his tongue a few times, and sealed it back in the sampling tube. He finished using all the tubes he had brought.
For any unforeseen situations, Tong Sui also took a few strands of hair and sealed them in a bag.
Having completed all this, Tong Sui felt a major concern lifted from his heart. He casually hid these things in the bottom drawer of the bedside table.
He let out a big yawn.
Reaching out, he embraced Jiang Hua and found the most comfortable position in his arms before drifting off to sleep.
The next day.
When Tong Sui woke up, the bed next to him was already empty.
He quickly got up, pushed the door open, and found Jiang Hua in the living room.
He was sorting out his luggage.
Unlike his more casual attire of the past few days, Jiang Hua had changed back into a sharp, cold outfit, with the hem of his shirt tucked into his pants, making his legs look exceptionally long.
A strikingly cool and handsome presence.
“Good morning.”
Jiang Hua set his luggage down and walked over, wrapping his arms around Tong Sui’s waist, “Did I wake you? How come you forgot to wear your shoes?”
“I thought you were leaving.”
Tong Sui leaned against his shoulder, taking a deep breath. The familiar icy scent calmed his nerves.
Jiang Hua tousled his messy hair.
“I won’t leave you without a word.”
Tong Sui snuggled in his embrace for a few minutes before heading back to wash up, changing out of his pajamas. When he came out again, Jiang Hua’s luggage was almost packed.
Tong Sui asked, “Are we going downstairs?”
Jiang Hua lifted his luggage with one hand, draped an arm around Tong Sui’s shoulders, and gave him a brief kiss on the lips, “Yeah, the car has arrived.”
“Alright,” Tong Sui said, “Then I’ll go down with you.”
He followed Jiang Hua out the door.
The elevator still took a while to come up. Jiang Hua held Tong Sui’s hand, “Make sure to eat well every day.”
“You too,” Tong Sui replied, “Be careful.”
As their eyes met, Jiang Hua suddenly said, “We still have some time.”
He grasped Tong Sui’s slightly fragile shoulder and leaned down for a heavy kiss, hurried yet passionate.
Tong Sui nervously clutched the hem of his shirt.
They were outside.
What if someone walked by…?
But when he thought about being apart for such a long time, he couldn’t bring himself to push Jiang Hua away.
The elevator stopped with a “ding”.
Tong Sui jumped slightly, his body tensing up.
When the elevator doors opened, Jiang Hua quickly glanced inside and pushed Tong Sui in.
“Don’t worry, no one is here.”
Actually, there was no need to worry about someone seeing them because, at this time, no one would be coming out of the building.
But Tong Sui didn’t know that.
He was afraid that when the elevator stopped on a certain floor, they might be caught kissing by someone else.
The elevator doors waited a moment before closing automatically.
In the confined space of the elevator.
Tong Sui pressed his back against the cold elevator wall, allowing Jiang Hua to slip his tongue between his lips, brazenly claiming his territory.
His lips turned a deep red from the kisses, and Jiang Hua gently rubbed his lips with his teeth, “Xiao Sui, what should I do if I can’t bear to leave?”
Tong Sui lowered his lashes, the blush at the corner of his eyes was as enchanting as a sunset, droplets of water glimmered on his lashes as he innocently replied, “I don’t know…”
Jiang Hua’s Adam’s apple rolled as he leaned close to Tong Sui’s ear, his voice gravelly like gravel, softly murmuring, “Wait for me to come back, and we’ll continue what we didn’t finish before, okay?”
Tong Sui didn’t react immediately, but when he met Jiang Hua’s profound gaze, something suddenly clicked in his mind.
The things they hadn’t done together were left with that last thing.
Tong Sui bit his lip, sealing it with a shiny layer of moisture.
“Mm.”
His voice was very soft, and the tips of his ears were suspiciously red.
Jiang Hua’s lips curved into a smirk as he pressed the button for the first floor, “You promised. No backing out.”
Tong Sui whispered, “I won’t back out.”
When the elevator doors opened, several familiar SUVs were parked not far from the apartment, with a few recognizable faces chatting by the cars.
When they saw Tong Sui and Jiang Hua come out, Zhang Bin Yu’s eyes lingered suspiciously on the red of Tong Sui’s lips, teasingly asking, “Did we come too early? Did we interrupt you?”
He Lan chuckled along, “Should we come back in two hours?”
Jiang Hua pulled him into the car, “I’ll give you a ride to the lab.”
“Okay.”
Tong Sui took a seat in the car.
The previously occupied passenger seat by Jian Lexian was now taken by a young man, who enthusiastically turned around to greet Tong Sui.
It seemed Jiang Hua really kept his word and wasn’t continuing to collaborate with Jian Lexian anymore.
