Jiang Hua took a half step back.
The two of them disappeared into the shadows, and the door behind them closed with a soft click.
Jiang Hua’s heart skipped a heavy beat.
Countless thoughts swirled in his mind, but his throat was dry, and he couldn’t utter even a simple syllable.
Noticing his silence, Tong Sui suddenly had a thought.
A red glint flashed in his eyes.
He stared closely at Jiang Hua, one second passed, then two seconds.
Tong Sui leaned in and gently brushed his lips against Jiang Hua’s.
“Captain Hua, do you like me?”
He lifted his gaze; his eyes sparkled through his glasses in the dark, mischievous and bright.
Jiang Hua’s Adam’s apple rolled a few times.
He reached up, grabbing Tong Sui’s arm and pulling him back slightly, the veins on the back of his hand slightly protruding, extending to his forearm.
He lowered his head and kissed the eager little assistant deeply.
Tong Sui’s back pressed against the cold door.
The kiss left him a bit dazed, wondering if his psychic ability was really that effective.
Jiang Hua’s kiss was fierce and domineering, growing more fervent as he seemed unwilling to miss any corner of Tong Sui’s mouth, akin to a starving wolf.
Tong Sui grasped his collar, feeling lost in thought.
That’s enough, it’s okay now.
Jiang Hua, you can stop.
However, Jiang Hua completely disregarded him, deepening the kiss as if trying to forcefully merge their worlds together.
Tears of irritation welled up in the corners of Tong Sui’s eyes.
Why is this happening?
Tong Sui’s face turned bright red from the kiss, unable to understand—hadn’t he controlled Jiang Hua?
Could it have worn off so quickly?
Tong Sui soon lost the ability to think, the little oxygen he had left was entirely consumed by Jiang Hua’s aggressive kiss.
Jiang Hua retreated slightly.
Tong Sui gasped, his mouth agape as he awkwardly tilted his head to breathe.
In the darkness, Jiang Hua’s eyes sank into a deep haze, fixating on Tong Sui’s snow-white neck, his teeth itching subtly.
He lowered his head and gently kissed again.
Tong Sui trembled violently, his eyes turning red as he pushed Jiang Hua away forcefully, his wet eyelashes partially obscuring his misty gaze.
Jiang Hua, still not satisfied, pressed his lips together.
Tong Sui immediately covered his neck and fled from him, hurrying into the guest room and slamming the door shut.
Huff huff huff.
He leaned against the door, feeling as if every ounce of strength had been drained from him in an instant.
He slid down the door to the floor, his heart beating hard, the rhythm irregular, a strange mixture of excitement intertwined with fear.
Could Jiang Hua truly not be under his control at all?
No way.
Tong Sui felt he could die of embarrassment.
At the very least, his powers must have affected him to some extent, or else why would Jiang Hua suddenly respond to him and kiss him so fiercely?
He raised a hand and gently touched his own lips.
They felt hot and tingly, still carrying Jiang Hua’s cold scent.
At that moment, footsteps approached outside the door.
Tong Sui swallowed hard.
His heart raced, feeling as if it was filled with hot water, swelling.
The footsteps stopped at his door.
Tong Sui held his breath, lowering his eyelashes to peek through the crack.
Jiang Hua stood just beyond the wall.
If he knew that Tong Sui had influenced his judgment with his psychic ability, would he want to drag him out and beat him up upon reflection?
Tong Sui whimpered inside.
If he had known, he wouldn’t have tried. Had he never thought that his abilities could fail?
However, Jiang Hua didn’t knock or force the door open.
He stood quietly outside for a moment.
Tong Sui listened to the receding footsteps, followed by the sounds of a door opening and closing across the way.
Tong Sui sighed in relief.
He struggled to his feet with what little strength he had left and threw himself onto the bed like a ragdoll, his face sinking deep into the soft pillow.
“Ugh.”
Tong Sui felt utterly humiliated.
How was he supposed to explain this to Jiang Hua? Would he dislike him?
Tong Sui grabbed the blanket and rolled around in frustration.
But he had also been quite enthusiastic about the kiss, hadn’t he?
Having known each other for so long, surely they wouldn’t fall out over a kiss, right?
If only he hadn’t used his powers…
In another room, Jiang Hua sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly at a spot in the air, a deep contemplation in his eyes.
He replayed Tong Sui’s expressions in his mind.
They were lively and beautiful like nothing he had ever seen, all those expressions borne from him.
Slightly furrowed brows.
Fingers trembling slightly from fear, even tears gathering at the corners of his eyes from the kiss.
Everything ignited his nerves.
When Tong Sui panicked and fled from him, he almost reached out to pull him back, wanting to realize all the base thoughts swirling in his mind.
But he was also afraid of scaring Tong Sui away, causing him to run further away.
Jiang Hua stood up.
He walked to the bathroom, turned on the shower, and let the cold water wash over him, forcefully extinguishing all the heat rising within him.
After an unknown time had passed,
Jiang Hua emerged, dressed in fresh clothes, his demeanor now icy and composed.
The sky was already dimming.
Jiang Hua opened the door to his room; the opposite room was shrouded in darkness, the lights off, and he couldn’t tell if Tong Sui had fallen asleep.
He turned, slipped on his shoes, and stepped out.
Tong Sui, in the guest room, heard him leaving, and a wave of sourness surged in his heart. Why didn’t he come to call him?
If Jiang Hua had absolutely no feelings for him, why was he being so kind?
