It seemed that happiness was now following him closely.
Bai Xingluo could endure loneliness and darkness before he encountered the light, but the thought of returning to darkness again became unbearable.
Tong Sui didn’t eat much.
He tried a little of everything, already exceeding his usual appetite.
“I’m full.”
He had only consumed a small portion of the whole breakfast spread to feel satisfied.
Initially, Tong Sui was worried about wasting food, but he clearly underestimated the appetite of the military female.
It was as if Bai Xingluo received an order, speeding up his eating pace.
The remaining breakfast disappeared into Bai Xingluo’s stomach.
The military female burned a lot of energy, so Bai Xingluo eating a lot didn’t really mean he was gaining significant weight.
If we were to talk about looks, he possessed the enviable figure of a standard magazine model, with perfect proportions and just the right amount of muscle.
Seeing that Bai Xingluo was full, Tong Sui stood up and began to clear the dishes, saying, “You sit over there for a bit, and I’ll take care of this.”
Various smart appliances in the galaxy are highly developed, but in his outdated and simple home, the only domestic robot was broken.
For now, he could only rely on handwashing.
But before his fingers even touched the edge of the dishes, a pair of hands was quickly stacking them together—Bai Xingluo was too swift.
“Lord, let me handle this.”
“…”
The breakfast had already burdened Bai Xingluo; having someone else wash the dishes would make it seem like he wasn’t doing anything, like a useless eater.
But before Tong Sui could argue against his actions, the dishes were already whisked away to the kitchen.
Bai Xingluo’s movements were efficient. Even while doing the most mundane chores, the slight roll of his sleeves revealed smooth lines, hiding a trace of charm in his downcast gaze.
He looked as beautiful as a painting.
It’s not hard to imagine such a spirited person sweating it out on the training ground.
He naturally possessed such a strong and captivating charm, destined to stand in the highest and most dazzling position like a blade tempered with ice.
Bai Xingluo worked quickly; Tong Sui did not wait long before everything was organized neatly.
When he came out of the kitchen, he saw a familiar little medicine box in front of Tong Sui. “You can’t be careless with the wound; you need to apply the medicine promptly for it to heal faster.”
“Yes.”
Bai Xingluo skillfully walked to Tong Sui’s side, inhaling the scent from him.
It wasn’t the first time he noticed the faint fragrance, but every time he got closer, it felt like a vortex dragging him down, intoxicating him.
“Shall I help you with that?”
“I’ll do it myself.”
Bai Xingluo almost instantly took the medicine back, as if he feared being overly reliant on this dangerous creature.
Tong Sui chuckled internally.
He thought Bai Xingluo had become less averse to him, but judging by this reaction, he was just as described in the book, entirely opposed to any male’s proximity.
His gaze fell on the nearly invisible red marks of the wound, which had been ghastly scratches the night before.
It seemed that after this application of medicine today, it wouldn’t be needed again.
After applying the medicine, Tong Sui returned to his room to change clothes.
He took off his pyjamas and picked a simple outfit of a white top and black pants from his sparse wardrobe, then headed out.
He looked quite youthful; after changing out of formal attire, he resembled a college student just starting university.
In fact, he was nearly of that age, full of youthful vibrancy, standing alongside the cold and distant Bai Xingluo.
Both of them were exceptionally good-looking but had completely different auras.
Not to mention, Tong Sui was a rare and striking male, naturally attracting many onlookers.
Some insects even bumped into each other while sneaking glances at Tong Sui, while others were eager to approach but dared not due to the military female’s presence.
“Why does he look so familiar?”
“Are you crazy? You can’t even recognize Bai Xingluo? That person next to him is said to be his male.”
“They look stunning together! But they came to the furniture city, does that mean they are really a couple? I heard Bai Xingluo dislikes males, though.”
“With such a handsome alpha nearby, who could possibly resist?”
“I’m getting all fluttery just looking! Someone help! I’m about to fall weak at the knees and bow to that alpha!”
“Do you think he needs any females to serve him?”
Bai Xingluo narrowed his eyes, the oppressive aura low enough to feel palpable.
The insects around sensed an overwhelming force; it felt like whispers from ancient beasts, pressing down on them until they could barely breathe.
Some female insects arched their backs, especially those who had spoken out earlier, now curling painfully on the ground, struggling to maintain their forms.
Even the military females with high mental energy felt suffocated.
No one dared to meet the source of their fear directly.
However, Tong Sui by his side remained oblivious, his attention fully captured by the dazzling array of goods in the mall.
Or perhaps he simply didn’t care about the gazes of others.
Tong Sui appeared like a harmless herbivore, with little acute awareness, not even wary when a large predator approached.
“Bai Xingluo.”
Tong Sui called out lightly, and the lethal pressure dissipated in an instant.
The suffocated females finally had a moment to breathe.
They watched in awe as Bai Xingluo, who could easily overpower them, obediently followed the young alpha, leaning slightly to listen, calm and gentle, with tenderness hidden in his brows and eyes.
“Lord, what’s wrong?”
It was as if everything they just experienced had been an illusion.
They couldn’t help but look up to this male who could tame Bai Xingluo with respect!
Tong Sui lay back on the soft double bed, the plush blankets enveloping him almost completely, with a warm yellow tone creating an extra cosy atmosphere.
“Shall we try it together?”
