Dan Jiamu inexplicably shivered.
He said, “I have something quite serious to tell you. Are you free to talk now?”
Tong Sui nodded.
“Lu Yiming found out about your relationship with Ye Linyuan and has informed me about his plan to turn Ye Linyuan into an Omega. He wants to use me to deal with you.”
Tong Sui panicked a bit, “What should we do?”
He recalled the punishment Ye Linyuan faced in the original plot due to this incident.
He couldn’t help but grip Ye Linyuan’s hand tightly.
Ye Linyuan’s large hand enveloped his somewhat frantic one and calmly massaged his fingers.
Tong Sui turned to look at him.
He didn’t see any panic on Ye Linyuan’s face; instead, he appeared unbothered, as if he had anticipated Lu Yiming’s actions.
“However, there’s some good news,” Dan Jiamu said. “I just checked, and recently there has been a joint signing of documents pushing for ABO equality by both the military and commerce departments to pressure the royal family. I fear that even my father will have to go along with it.”
Tong Sui’s eyes lit up. “That’s wonderful! Thank you for telling me this news!”
“This matter isn’t primarily due to my efforts. It’s unclear who has such power to get so many people to jointly sign.”
Dan Jiamu nodded. “What I can do is keep an eye on this matter and ensure my father signs the documents as soon as possible.”
“Mm-mm!”
Tong Sui hung up the communication and let out a heavy sigh of relief. “That’s great! I wonder who fortuitously helped us out, don’t you think?”
Ye Linyuan responded with a hum.
Tong Sui looked at the unperturbed expression on his face and paused for a few seconds. “Could it be that you are behind this—”
How could he not think of this?
During this time, Ye Linyuan had been too busy to spend time with him. Tong Sui had originally thought that Ye Linyuan was simply dealing with his piled-up work.
“It’s me,” Ye Linyuan seemed indifferent about this; instead, he focused on Tong Sui and asked, “Are you very close to him?”
Tong Sui answered, “Ah?”
Ye Linyuan said, “His status and looks are decent, and he is about your age. You should have more common topics to talk about.”
“Are you talking about Dan Jiamu?” Tong Sui replied, “I’m not very familiar with him; I only met him at the mecha base!”
“Oh, you just met him but went to save others,” Ye Linyuan said. “When you hurried back to save me, were you also acting like him?”
Tong Sui realized belatedly, “…Are you jealous?”
Ye Linyuan responded, “No.”
The hovercar arrived at Ye Linyuan’s apartment. He got out and took Tong Sui’s luggage.
Tong Sui followed him closely. “There clearly is.”
Ye Linyuan helped pull the suitcase into the bedroom and then went to the kitchen to wash his hands, busying himself. “You can play a bit longer; I’ll cook.”
“Oh.”
Tong Sui sat on the sofa and clicked on an anime series that the system had been tracking recently. He watched the bouncing characters, but his attention drifted to the kitchen.
Considering the time since they left the hospital, they had not had any intimate moments for about four to five days.
Ye Linyuan had also been quite busy.
He had thought Ye Linyuan wanted him over for the weekend for intimate reasons, but unexpectedly, Ye Linyuan went straight to the kitchen, making him feel that bringing those things was quite presumptuous.
Was it because of his previous fever phase that he needed to take care of himself?
Yet he had called him “baby” repeatedly.
Now, after using him up, to simply discard him made Tong Sui’s eyes sting as he remembered waiting foolishly for Ye Linyuan to finish and contact him.
When Ye Linyuan finished cooking and came out, he saw Tong Sui curled up on the sofa, hugging his knees, watching a comedic cartoon, but his face looked like he was about to cry.
His eyes and nose were all pink.
Ye Linyuan walked over and turned off the video, reaching out to rub the corner of Tong Sui’s eye. “Who bullied you to make you look so aggrieved?”
Tong Sui stared at him blankly.
There was a touch of complaint and a hint of helplessness; his clean eyes were glistening, much like a small, damp blade of grass with tiny water drops on its leaves.
Ye Linyuan scooped him up entirely in his arms, light as a feather and weightless.
Tong Sui tugged on the front of his shirt.
That faint, chilling scent felt reassuring after a long absence.
Ye Linyuan approached the dining table, leaned down to set him down, but Tong Sui tightened his grip on his clothes. “I want you to hold me.”
“Okay.”
Ye Linyuan held Tong Sui in his embrace.
Tong Sui nestled in his arms like a little cat, rubbing his nose against Ye Linyuan’s neck, greedily saying, “Feed me.”
“Mm.”
Ye Linyuan picked up the bowls and chopsticks, serving dishes that Tong Sui liked.
His movements were patient; he personally blew on the food before feeding it to Tong Sui bite by bite.
The more gentle Ye Linyuan was with him, the tighter Tong Sui’s frown became.
Why was he still so nice to him when he didn’t make any physical contact?
Tong Sui had eaten about half a bowl when Ye Linyuan’s spoon came over, and he turned away. “I don’t want to eat anymore.”
That little amount of food was hardly more than what a cat would eat.
Ye Linyuan asked, “Not to your liking?”
“I’m full.” Tong Sui struggled to get out of his embrace. “You eat slowly; I’ll go to my room.”
After he spoke, he walked into the room, lying on his back on the bed and feeling increasingly agitated.
Tong Sui recalled the words of the chubby guy from earlier, “Omegas need pampering too. Be a little proactive.”
He didn’t know how to pamper others.
Be a little proactive…
Tong Sui looked at the suitcase that Ye Linyuan had brought in and placed in the corner, his ears slightly red.
He had brought it over, so he should at least use it once, right?
With some hesitation, Tong Sui sat up slowly and glanced uncertainly at the door.
Would Ye Linyuan really like something like that?
He opened the suitcase and picked up that set of clothing.
Although it was called clothing, it was not very suitable.
It couldn’t be worn in public, and it was light, consisting merely of a thin, slightly translucent layer and some white lace trimming.
