The metallic buttons on Tong Sui’s clothing swayed, reflecting the light from above.
Having been an Alpha for over twenty years, he found it unbelievable that he had suddenly turned into an Omega. If you had asked him before today, he would never have believed it.
But this was indeed happening.
He craved Tong Sui’s mark—not just from the heat period’s restlessness, but from a deeper desire to progress, to achieve the only intimate relationship that only they could build together.
Night Lingyuan held him tightly in his strong arms and murmured, “Not good.”
Tong Sui’s hand hung in the air.
The soft white of his fingertips lightly rested on Night Lingyuan’s broad back, as if an adult were soothing a child, softly patting him.
“Does it still hurt?”
“Mm, every bone and nerve in my body aches, especially the back of my neck—it’s hot and numb,” Night Lingyuan sighed, “Am I going to die soon?”
His tone was calm, with no hint of panic or fear, the darkness in his eyes thick, not resembling someone who was afraid of death at all.
But Tong Sui didn’t think too much about that.
Upon hearing Night Lingyuan mention dying, he panicked, “No, I will save you.”
An Omega can relieve the heat period successfully with an Alpha’s mark.
Tong Sui looked at the back of his neck.
It was smooth and clean; there was no difference from the rest of his skin.
“Can I mark you?”
Night Lingyuan’s dark eyes briefly lit up, quickly hiding the moment of brightness, then continued speaking in a tone that drew sympathy.
“Do you really want to? I don’t want you to mark me out of pity.”
“I like you,” Tong Sui said, “No matter what happens to you, I will always like you.”
Gently, he touched that patch of skin.
His soft lips were as hot as molten lava.
Night Lingyuan took a deep breath, changed his position, and let Tong Sui sit on his lap.
Tong Sui placed his hand lightly on his shoulder, supporting his broad frame, straightening up, with his knees pressing against the sheets beside Night Lingyuan.
Perhaps ignorance breeds fearlessness.
Tong Sui resembled a soft little kitten. Even with the initiative, he was not aggressive at all; he just nuzzled his lips against Night Lingyuan’s neck, like a kitten drinking water.
Even for Night Lingyuan, whose endurance was trained to its limits, his eyes turned red as he grasped Tong Sui’s delicate wrist.
“Tong Sui, what are you doing?”
His voice was hoarse and intense, fixated on Tong Sui’s rosy lips.
Tong Sui worked hard to kiss and nibble at the back of his neck, reddening his mouth, but he didn’t bite, finding it more difficult than enduring torture.
Tong Sui’s face slowly turned red, resembling blush seeping through rice paper, slightly diffusing as he lowered his thick eyelashes, and mumbled, “I fell asleep in the physiology lecture…”
Night Lingyuan raised an eyebrow.
Tong Sui’s face was flushed, embarrassed as he asked, “How do I mark you?”
His eyes were slightly red, looking aggrieved and shy.
Alphas don’t usually mark.
Night Lingyuan meticulously stroked the palm of his hand until it grew warm, then let out a low chuckle, “Darling, you’re too cute.”
Tong Sui, hearing his laughter, buried his head even lower, “Night Lingyuan, you mustn’t laugh; I’m trying my best.”
“Mm, you really are trying hard,” Night Lingyuan glanced at Tong Sui’s mouth, “You’ve made it all red.”
Tong Sui bit his lip.
Night Lingyuan said, “Would you like me to teach you?”
Marking is almost an Alpha’s instinct.
Having an Omega explain how to mark an Alpha would be hard for anyone to believe if they heard it.
Yet, Tong Sui obediently nodded.
Night Lingyuan lifted his hand to tuck back the strands of hair that fell over Tong Sui’s forehead. Tong Sui dazed for a moment, his lashes fluttering, and his beautiful face was fully exposed to the dark gaze.
Night Lingyuan said, “What should you call me?”
Tong Sui looked at him, confused.
“If you’re going to learn properly, you should at least have the right attitude,” Night Lingyuan continued, “As for transferring knowledge, what should you call me?”
Tong Sui hesitated, “…Teacher?”
“Mm, good.”
Night Lingyuan smiled as he moved closer, his low laughter making Tong Sui unintentionally anxious.
Even the subtle pressure Night Lingyuan emitted felt as if Tong Sui was truly a failing student in need of extra tutoring.
Night Lingyuan added, “I will teach you step by step.”
His fingers ran through Tong Sui’s hair down to the skin on the back of his neck.
“First, you need to find the position.”
Night Lingyuan’s fingertips were slightly rough as they landed on Tong Sui’s neck, causing a shiver.
Tong Sui’s ears turned red, clutching Night Lingyuan’s clothes, softly complaining, “It tickles too much.”
“Focus on your studies,” Night Lingyuan said.
Tong Sui whimpered, “QAQ?”
“The gland looks no different from other skin on the surface, but if you press down hard…” Night Lingyuan applied some pressure.
It felt like a slight electric current flowed through.
Tong Sui furrowed his brows and let out a sound of discomfort, gripping tightly as his fingers turned pale from the force.
“The sensation is slightly different.”
“Once you find the position, it’s easy,” Night Lingyuan lightly tapped the area twice, “Open your mouth and bite down, inject your pheromones.”
“Got it? Need me to repeat?”
Tong Sui nodded randomly, “Got it!”
He straightened his posture, and Night Lingyuan cooperatively lowered his head, exposing his most vulnerable part.
Tong Sui’s fingertips felt a bit cold, delicate and smooth, like a soft little cake.
His fingertips traced the back of the neck, applying pressure, looking for a slightly sensitive spot.
“I found it!”
He applied a little more pressure and pressed down.
Night Lingyuan’s eyes darkened a little, his throat moving.
“Mark it.”
