“This is different.”
Ye Linyuan gently sniffed the scent on him. “Videos can be seen but not touched; it drives one mad.”
Tong Sui felt a little ticklish from his nuzzling, raised his hand to push him away, and said with a flushed face, “You’re exaggerating. I need to head back.”
“Let me inhale a little longer.”
Ye Linyuan grasped his hand, thumb rubbing against the delicate inner side of his wrist, the fair skin quickly flushing red.
Ye Linyuan seemed intent on firmly engraving Tong Sui’s essence into his very bones.
After a long time, Tong Sui, blushing, finished dinner with Ye Linyuan and was sent downstairs.
Ye Linyuan repeated, “I’ll come find you then.”
Tong Sui responded, “Alright, I know.”
Ye Linyuan nodded and gently touched his lips, saying, “Go on up now.”
When Tong Sui returned to his dormitory, his roommates were in the middle of a heated discussion, having not even finished packing for tomorrow’s trip.
One of the roommates said, “I heard it’s not just our department participating; the commanding department’s noble Alphas are going too.”
Another roommate laughed and added, “The commanding department has those pampered Alphas who can’t carry their own weight, haha, I bet they won’t even dare to pilot a mech.”
Jiang Che, sitting nearby, couldn’t take it anymore and raised his voice, “That’s not true!”
The others were stunned.
A roommate replied, “Not us, we were talking about the commanding department. Jiang Che, why are you so worked up? Could it be…?”
Jiang Che’s face turned red. “I just feel like you’re speaking ill of others behind their backs.”
“Oh, I thought you knew someone from the commanding department. But thinking about it, that can’t be right; those people are too proud to associate with us.”
Tong Sui closed the door a bit harder than usual, making them all fall silent.
Jiang Che looked at him gratefully.
Tong Sui opened his luggage and calmly said, “If you want others to respect you, shouldn’t you learn to respect others first?”
No one dared to retort.
Although they had spent enough time with Tong Sui that they were starting to forget his status, he was ultimately still someone they couldn’t afford to offend.
Tong Sui quickly packed his things; he simply shoved in two sets of clothes and some daily necessities before finishing.
Early the next morning, all the freshmen from the commanding and mech departments boarded the starship to the mech base.
Since there were more students in the mech department, Tong Sui and his group were arranged to sit in the same starship as the commanding department.
As soon as Tong Sui boarded the ship, many Alpha students from the commanding department cast their gazes upon him.
In upper-class society, everyone was somewhat familiar with each other, especially since the mech corporation behind Tong Sui held a monopoly in the market.
“Tong Sui, come sit here, there’s space.”
“Sit with me; the view is great.”
Tong Sui scanned around and finally settled his gaze on an Alpha in the front row.
He rested his chin on one hand, gazing out the window indifferently, seeming uninterested in who was coming in.
Both in looks and aura, he was several levels above those around him.
The system in Tong Sui’s mind admired, “As expected of the main character’s counterpart; look at that unattainable demeanor and the indifferent gaze looking down on the masses.”
Tong Sui: “…”
Jiang Che, following behind Tong Sui, noticed he wasn’t moving and peeked his head out, asking, “What’s wrong?”
Tong Sui turned his head.
“It’s nothing. I picked a spot for you that I think you’ll like.”
Jiang Che looked a bit confused as Tong Sui positioned him in the front row.
The Alpha who had been frowning and staring out the window turned his head to see Jiang Che beside him. The two shared a glance that felt electric, and they both turned away almost simultaneously, cheeks flushing.
Tong Sui walked back, smiling, and spoke to the system in his mind, “Unattainable? Looking down on others?”
The system: “…”
Tong Sui settled by the window.
The starship took off, and as it moved further into the unknown, tall buildings were replaced by desolate fields outside the window.
The starship descended.
After cutting through the clouds, a training base hidden in the wilds appeared before their eyes.
Everything in sight was incredibly grand and spectacular.
Many Alphas were taking photos, and Tong Sui took one too, sending it to Ye Linyuan.
Tong Sui: [I’ve arrived!]
Ye Linyuan: [Yes, if you feel unwell or uncomfortable, remember to tell me or find an instructor.]
Tong Sui: [Got it, I’m not a child. I’m heading to the dorm first~]
Ye Linyuan: [Understood.]
After replying to the message, Ye Linyuan tidied up and prepared to attend a meeting.
He paused as he stood, feeling the back of his neck become subtly hot again; the intervals between these episodes had been unusually short lately.
This heat usually lasted a few minutes before subsiding.
Ye Linyuan put on his coat, planning to check himself once this busy period was over.
After disembarking the starship, the instructor in charge of the training briefed them on some important points regarding the mech base.
The chief instructor announced loudly, “Absolutely no unauthorized dismantling or modification of mechs; this is a very dangerous act.”
This point was repeated many times.
Everyone lazily replied, “Yes—”
Only then did the chief instructor nod to the life administrator, “Take them to settle down first; we’ll discuss the knowledge points in the afternoon.”
The life administrator said, “Okay.”
“Everyone, follow me. The dormitories are assigned freely; six people per room. Anyone who can’t form a group can share a room with those from other departments.”
The life administrator led the way while explaining as they walked.
They trailed behind with their luggage, chattering away, some already starting to form groups.
Little Fatty tugged at the blonde and squeezed over.
“Brother Sui, we want to share a room with you. Don’t worry, we’ll definitely keep your dorm clean!”
The blonde took his small suitcase and added, “Yes, yes, we’re counting on you to guide us!”
