Tong Sui was flushed all over, panting.
“Ye Linyuan, you bastard.”
He glared fiercely, trying to appear as menacing as possible, his eyes alluring like a hook.
Ye Linyuan, still feeling desire, pressed his lips to the corner of Tong Sui’s eye again, “Hmm, keep calling my name; I like to hear it.”
Tong Sui turned his face away.
Ye Linyuan’s lips brushed against the soft strands of hair, a faint fragrance rising, and the warmth of Tong Sui’s flushed ear hidden beneath the hair.
Tong Sui said, “Hurry and wash your hands.”
“Hmm, just wait for me.”
Ye Linyuan stood up to leave, the sweet scent of alcohol gradually dissipating, cooling the heated atmosphere slightly.
Tong Sui leaned against the headboard, his mind a blank.
It felt as if he had just woken from a dream, yet the lingering sensations and scents were incessantly reminding him that it was all real.
When Ye Linyuan returned after washing his hands, he found Tong Sui in a daze.
He walked over, leaning on the bed to reach for him.
“I’ll carry you to the bathroom.”
Ye Linyuan easily lifted Tong Sui into his arms.
He prepared clothes, adjusted the water temperature, and tossed the dirty clothes into the laundry basket.
Tong Sui seemed to have just come to his senses, blushing as he wriggled out of Ye Linyuan’s embrace. “You wait for me outside.”
The sound of splashing water filled the bathroom.
Standing under the shower, Tong Sui’s muddled thoughts cleared slightly as warm water flowed over him.
The system chimed in, “You just called out Bai Xingluo’s name while looking at Ye Linyuan.”
Tong Sui froze, “Did I?”
The system replied, “Yes, I was worried when I saw Ye Linyuan’s expression; I thought he might harm you, but surprisingly, it ended well for you.”
Tong Sui: “……”
He tried hard to recall, and amidst the scattered memories, it seemed he found a fragment of that moment.
He was really confused.
He banged his forehead against the wall, the water from the shower cascading down his back. After a long moment of hesitation, he finally left the bathroom.
Ye Linyuan was sitting on the bed when he heard the sound and turned to look.
He was wearing the clothes Ye Linyuan had bought for him, even the slippers matched, and the scent of the shower gel was the same as Ye Linyuan’s.
Noticing Ye Linyuan’s gaze, Tong Sui nervously swallowed and shifted back, “I’ll sleep in the guest room.”
He hadn’t even reached the door when strong arms pulled him back.
He sank deeply into the soft bed.
Ye Linyuan asked, “Can you sleep alone?”
Tong Sui, feeling guilty, nodded slightly but didn’t dare to meet his eyes. “I’m just not used to sleeping with you. I didn’t rest well…”
Ye Linyuan let out a cold laugh.
Tong Sui’s heart trembled a bit.
Ye Linyuan leaned closer to his ear, gritting his teeth, “Not used to sleeping with me, but with him, it felt great?”
“It’s not as you think.”
Tong Sui frowned, unsure how to explain this misunderstanding.
Ye Linyuan pressed, “Then what is it?”
Tong Sui fell silent.
His silence was taken as acquiescence, and Ye Linyuan bit his ear tip gently, rubbing it with his teeth.
His soft lips traveled from the ear to the hair, finally landing on the tender skin at the back of Tong Sui’s neck, which carried a clean scent, untouched by anyone else.
“Have you marked him?”
Tong Sui shook his head.
The suffocating atmosphere finally loosened a little, but Ye Linyuan’s kisses on his neck made it feel intensely hot.
Ye Linyuan murmured, “Would you mark me?”
“What?”
Tong Sui doubted he heard correctly.
Ye Linyuan repeated, “You mark me.”
Being marked as an Alpha could be very painful, and while he didn’t want Tong Sui to suffer, he was willing to bear it himself, no matter how bloody it might get.
At least, he would be the only one marked.
Tong Sui said, “No, we can’t do that. Being together doesn’t necessarily mean marking…”
Ye Linyuan’s eyes darkened, as if he had plunged into an extreme darkness.
His teeth gently pierced the soft skin at the nape of Tong Sui’s neck, and a bead of blood emerged, exuding a deadly allure.
A wave of intense pain struck, making Tong Sui instinctively want to cover his neck.
Ye Linyuan pinned his hands down and wiped away the blood bead before releasing him.
Tong Sui clutched his neck, escaping his embrace.
The wound ached and tingled, as if countless insects were biting him.
Was this what marking felt like?
He could hardly imagine the pain of a more severe bite on this skin.
The more he thought about it, the more afraid he became, moisture pooling in his eyes.
Ye Linyuan suddenly snapped back to reality.
He watched Tong Sui sliding off the bed, reaching out to steady him, only to be met with fear and panic in Tong Sui’s eyes.
“I’m sorry, I…” Ye Linyuan had a myriad of things he wanted to say but could only choke out, “I’m not trying to force you.”
He lowered his head, exposing his neck before Tong Sui, “Please mark me.”
Tong Sui slowly approached, lowering his head to gently kiss Ye Linyuan’s nape, his voice trembling, “Not yet; it will hurt a lot.”
“I’m not afraid of pain.”
Just being lightly kissed, the skin on Ye Linyuan’s nape started to heat up noticeably.
Tong Sui replied, “But I am.”
“I’ll get a band-aid.” Ye Linyuan stood to leave.
Tong Sui curled up in the quilt.
When Ye Linyuan returned, Tong Sui had his eyes closed. He walked over, sitting down and softly asking, “Are you asleep?”
Tong Sui remained silent, but his trembling eyelashes betrayed him.
Ye Linyuan tore open the band-aid packaging and carefully placed it over the small wound.
Tong Sui frowned.
