Perhaps he was afraid that last night’s words were just a fleeting interest of Tong Sui and that he would deny them after sobering up. Or perhaps he was concerned that what he said about liking him was merely casual talk.
Ye Lin Yuan’s gaze was dark and heavy. He would absolutely never let go of something that, once in his grasp, belonged to him. He had never been a generous person. Even if Tong Sui merely wanted to play with him, he could not just let it go.
The atmosphere around Ye Lin Yuan was stifling, almost suffocating. His cold, piercing eyes betrayed no warmth as he raised his hand.
There was a knock at the dormitory door.
Hearing the sound, Jiang Che hurried to open it. Upon doing so, he was stunned by the sight of Ye Lin Yuan standing outside. His presence was overwhelmingly intimidating.
Jiang Che’s fingers trembled with fear as he stammered, “Director Ye, what brings you here?”
Noticing Jiang Che was neatly dressed, Ye Lin Yuan replied with a curt, “Where’s Tong Sui?”
Jiang Che quickly stepped aside, “Inside.”
Ye Lin Yuan walked in without hesitation, “I need to talk to him for a bit.”
“Oh, okay.”
Jiang Che pointed to the door outside, “I’m hungry, so I’ll go to the cafeteria.”
After shutting the door, Jiang Che stood outside for a moment. Once he confirmed there were no sounds of conflict inside, he absently made his way downstairs.
How could he have thought Ye Lin Yuan would resort to violence?
Distracted, Jiang Che didn’t notice someone in front of him and bumped straight into them.
The person let out a muffled sound.
Startled, Jiang Che immediately checked to see where he had collided, only to realize how close they were.
His face flushed as he withdrew his hand, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” The handsome person didn’t seem to mind and instead said, “Classmate, you smell really nice. What brand of perfume are you using?”
Meanwhile, Tong Sui, still in slumber, had no idea what was happening. When he finally turned over after a full sleep, it seemed he bumped into something.
He frowned slightly.
“Awake now?”
The cool voice slipped into his ear, making the remnants of his drowsiness dissipate almost fully. He opened his eyes and saw Ye Lin Yuan sitting at the foot of his bed with a low-pressure demeanor.
Blinking his eyes, Tong Sui groggily reached out his hand to grasp Ye Lin Yuan’s.
“What brings you here?”
As soon as he finished speaking, a shadow loomed over him, landing decisively on his lips, more forceful than before.
Tong Sui, already lacking strength to prop himself up, felt himself go weak from the kiss and instinctively leaned back onto the bed.
But Ye Lin Yuan had no intention of letting him go.
A large hand gripped the back of his head, fingers sifting through his hair.
Tong Sui’s mind became foggy; he hadn’t expected Ye Lin Yuan to come all the way to his dorm just to kiss him.
What if someone saw them?
He raised his hand to push Ye Lin Yuan away, but his wrist was caught accurately, rough fingers squeezing between his own.
Ye Lin Yuan’s kiss was relentless, as if he was kissing him and simultaneously letting out a flood of repressed emotions.
His depths were profound; one careless glance might pull you into an unknown whirlpool, unable to escape.
Tong Sui gradually sensed that he was angry. So he stopped moving and let him continue the kiss, thinking that he could adapt to such an assertive force. But he still overestimated himself.
When Ye Lin Yuan finally released him, he gasped for air, like a fish nearly suffocating.
Ye Lin Yuan leaned in closer, his nose brushing against Tong Sui’s collar as he took a sniff.
It was ticklish.
Tong Sui turned his head slightly, “What’s wrong with you?”
“You smell like someone else.” Ye Lin Yuan’s voice was hoarse. “Are you close with that person you went out with earlier?”
Tong Sui paused.
Ye Lin Yuan’s sense of smell was too keen.
He had tried his best to avoid Jiang Che; they barely touched. How could he still detect it after so long?
“It’s just a normal classmate relationship,” Tong Sui replied. “Are you angry?”
“No.”
“But your expression looks pretty nasty,” Tong Sui leaned closer, brushing his teeth against Ye Lin Yuan’s taut lips, “Don’t be angry, okay?”
Ye Lin Yuan took the opportunity to kiss him again, this time it was not just their lips; it was as if he wanted to cover him entirely with his scent.
Tong Sui couldn’t help but wonder about Ye Lin Yuan’s pheromones and what they smelled like.
After a moment of kissing, Tong Sui’s stomach growled.
Ye Lin Yuan stopped kissing him, “Hungry?”
Tong Sui originally intended to say it didn’t matter, they could continue kissing, but his stomach growled again.
Tong Sui: “…”
Ye Lin Yuan lifted his blanket and carried him out of bed, “Let’s go eat.”
“Okay.”
Tong Sui put on his shoes and followed Ye Lin Yuan downstairs.
Since class hadn’t finished yet, there were hardly any people in the nearby cafeteria.
They headed to the third-level specialty area.
This area was divided into several sections, each serving different foods. He approached the oden stall, eager to try everything, “But I’m afraid I won’t finish.”
Ye Lin Yuan replied, “I will eat.”
Hearing this, Tong Sui felt reassured and began ordering. As they finished, the vendor asked, “Will you be eating here or taking it to go?”
Ye Lin Yuan said, “Here.”
“Huh?” Tong Sui turned to look at him, “Aren’t we going to your office?”
Ye Lin Yuan said, “Too far. After you eat, just go back to sleep; you need energy for class in the afternoon.”
“…Oh.”
Tong Sui lowered his eyes, feeling a bit disappointed.
He still wanted to see what Ye Lin Yuan’s office looked like.
