“Delicious!”
Tong Sui slurped down half a bowl of porridge.
Ye Linyuan paused slightly, picking up the spoon to taste it himself. It was just ordinary plain porridge, and there seemed to be a bit of raw texture.
He frowned.
“Stop eating that.”
Ye Linyuan pressed down on his hand, his expression not looking too good.
“But I’m still hungry,” Tong Sui protested.
“Let’s go, I’ll buy you something on the way.”
Ye Linyuan held Tong Sui’s hand and led him out the door.
Downstairs, the assistant had been waiting in the hover car for quite a while.
He watched the two holding hands from a distance and turned to the driver, saying, “Wow, young couples these days are just too sweet.”
The driver replied with silence.
As the two approached, the assistant covered his mouth in shock, “No way?!”
He looked at the driver’s expression.
“Seriously? They got together just yesterday??”
When the car door opened, the assistant quickly shut his mouth, pretending nothing was amiss, but secretly stealing glances out of the corner of his eye.
One couldn’t deny that Ye Linyuan had chosen someone exceptionally good-looking.
Tong Sui and Ye Linyuan got into the car.
Once Ye Linyuan instructed the driver to start the car, his expression grew somewhat serious.
Alpha had no culinary assessment requirements.
Ye Linyuan himself preferred things to be simple.
He didn’t want to waste time on this; he was fine with eating, but when it came to Tong Sui, he felt somewhat unwilling.
He at least had to have the ability to take care of Tong Sui.
Therefore, Ye Linyuan decided to include learning how to cook in his plans.
As they passed a café, Ye Linyuan instructed the driver to stop.
He got out of the car and walked inside.
A while later, he came out with a paper bag in his hand, heavily stuffed, and handed it to Tong Sui. “I didn’t know what you liked, so I bought one of everything.”
Tong Sui opened the bag to look inside.
It contained an assortment of exquisite and beautiful breads, along with many cups of hot drinks.
“This is too much; I can’t finish it.”
Tong Sui had a small appetite, and since he had just drunk half a bowl of porridge, he ended up only eating a small piece of croissant. He packed the rest back untouched and returned to his dorm.
He arrived early, just as his roommates were getting up.
“Hey, Sui! You’re back!”
Little Fatty excitedly leaned over, noticing the red marks on Tong Sui’s neck. “Wow, Sui, your neck—did something happen last night…?”
“You, uh, don’t think too much of it; nothing happened.”
Tong Sui’s face flushed as he shoved the bag into Little Fatty’s hands. “Here, please help me share the leftovers with everyone.”
“Sure!”
Little Fatty distributed the food onto each person’s desk before rushing out to wash up.
Bian Sheng glanced at the drink on Jiang Che’s table.
Since everyone was busy washing up, and Tong Sui seemed distracted, focused on his light brain looking at the class schedule, he didn’t notice Bian Sheng’s actions.
He opened the bottle containing the pills and discreetly dropped one into Jiang Che’s cup of hot drink while no one was paying attention.
Tong Sui messaged Ye Linyuan on his light brain.
Tong Sui: [I’m back at the dorm; can we have lunch together?]
Ye Linyuan replied quickly: [Sure.]
Tong Sui: [Great! Where shall we meet? At that cafeteria?]
Ye Linyuan responded: [My office.]
Tong Sui: [Huh??]
Ye Linyuan teased: [Are you scared?]
Tong Sui’s ears turned slightly red with embarrassment.
He replied: [Not scared at all! I’ll come right after class, wait for me.]
When Jiang Che returned from washing up, he found a cup of drink and a box of bread on his desk.
He was momentarily stunned, glancing at Tong Sui sitting on the bed, whose face had slightly flushed.
But then he noticed that similar arrangements were made on other tables.
So everyone had some.
Tong Sui raised his head and met Jiang Che’s gaze just as he looked down quickly, flustered, and quietly thanked him, “Thanks for the breakfast.”
“Not a problem.”
After all, it wasn’t he who bought it.
Tong Sui sat in the dorm for a while before changing into his uniform and followed his roommates to class.
In the military academy, the first two years focused mostly on theory along with some daily training, while the last two years moved away from the classroom and into practical training.
This course was on basic mecha knowledge.
Tong Sui chose a seat in the back row where he wouldn’t disturb anyone and intended to take a nap as soon as he sat down.
Little Fatty was left in shock watching him fall asleep right at the first class.
He had heard that Tong Sui’s grades were quite poor and that he had gotten by on sponsorships.
“Sui, did you not sleep well last night?”
It was only the first class, and he was already resting his head, so arrogant!
He glanced around the large classroom.
The two classes were combined for this session, but most people, even if not paying attention, would at least pretend to.
“Yeah, I’m just going to sleep for a bit.”
This foundational knowledge posed no challenge for Tong Sui.
He rested his head on his hands and closed his eyes.
Last night, he had been kissed by Ye Linyuan for a long time, and he was still not quite used to sleeping together with someone, which meant he had less sleep than usual.
The first class’s teacher was a young Alpha.
He lectured for half a class period.
The classroom was lifeless; clearly, to students newly introduced to these subjects, the content was far too dry and boring.
But since it was the start of the semester, everyone was somewhat restrained and at most would sneak in a few nods.
In the back corner, Tong Sui had long since fallen soundly asleep.
“Hey, the one in the last row, did you learn anything? Sleeping through class shows you have absolutely no regard for the lesson.”
The teacher knocked on the desk, and the other students turned to look.
Being young, the teacher didn’t recognize Tong Sui.
But in these two classes, no one didn’t know Tong Sui; upon seeing his fluffy red hair, all the students gasped.
When the teacher saw that Tong Sui didn’t respond, he walked down toward him.
