He placed the cup on the countertop. “I’ll take you to the guest room.”
As Ye Linyuan walked past Tong Sui, the hem of his clothes was gently tugged. “I don’t want to sleep in the guest room. Can I stay with you?”
“Why?”
Tong Sui wrapped his arms around him from behind, pressing his forehead against Ye Linyuan’s back. Even through the fabric, he could feel the contour of his muscles.
“Because I like you.”
His voice was soft, amplified in the silent night, making it extraordinarily clear.
Ye Linyuan froze for a few seconds, raising his hand to try and remove Tong Sui’s hands from his waist, but stopped short when he touched them.
“Tong Sui, do you know what you’re talking about?”
“I do. If you didn’t hear me, I can say it again,” Tong Sui repeated. “I like you.”
Ye Linyuan felt his heart race uncontrollably, thumping loudly as if his blood was boiling in response.
Breathing became a bit more difficult.
He swallowed hard, his voice low as he said, “You’re drunk. Let’s talk about this tomorrow.”
“I’m not drunk. I know what I’m saying. I don’t want to go days without seeing you.”
Tong Sui asked, “What about you? How do you feel about me?”
Ye Linyuan fell silent.
Each passing second of this wait felt incredibly slow.
Tong Sui couldn’t hold back any longer. “Why won’t you answer? If you really don’t have any feelings for me, why did you rush back to find me?”
If only Tong Sui could see Ye Linyuan’s expression and the flicker in his eyes at that moment, he would be too startled to speak.
But he was probably emboldened by the drink and had dulled his ability to sense danger.
Tong Sui said, “Fine, I’ll go back.”
As Tong Sui started to pull his hands back, his wrist was suddenly gripped with force.
He felt the heat of Ye Linyuan’s hand, like it was resting on a stove, making him want to retract his hand.
“Tong Sui,”
His voice was hoarse, rough as if it had rolled over gravel, “Stay here.”
Ye Linyuan turned around.
Those dark, profound eyes seemed to hold some mysterious cosmic darkness within.
He felt the other’s gaze sweep over him inch by inch, examining him so closely it was as if he wanted to swallow him whole, finally locking onto his face.
Tong Sui stammered, “Y-You…”
Ye Linyuan had so many questions he wanted to ask. He wanted to open his mouth and inquire.
Who did you call when we first met at the hospital?
When you said you liked someone, was it me or him?
Do you even know what liking someone means?
But when meeting Tong Sui’s eyes, those chaotic doubts were thrown aside.
Ye Linyuan thought.
None of that matters now.
He couldn’t accept another Omega getting close to him, nor could he deal with being forever trapped by a nameless person.
So it might as well be that Tong Sui liked him.
Ye Linyuan raised his hand, gently cradling Tong Sui’s delicate, pale chin, and without hesitation, leaned down.
A layer of cold softness met his lips.
The familiar sensation relaxed Tong Sui completely; receiving the other’s response felt like a heavy stone in his heart finally dropped.
At first, Ye Linyuan’s kissing was a bit awkward, but after a brief adjustment, he quickly took absolute control.
Tong Sui felt Ye Linyuan’s teeth lightly graze his lips.
He slightly parted his mouth.
Ye Linyuan seized the opportunity, a chilling fragrance filling his mouth.
Tong Sui felt as if he were about to lose his breath from the kiss; he grasped the fabric of Ye Linyuan’s clothes, sensing the intensity of the desire wanting to be released.
When released, Tong Sui leaned weakly against Ye Linyuan’s broad shoulder.
It had been a long time since he experienced such an intense kiss, and his mind felt blank, struggling to catch up.
All he could do was gasp for air.
His hair was being stroked by a large hand, and tingles ran down his scalp as he heard a low, husky voice in his ear.
“Suìsuì, you’re so sweet.”
Tong Sui’s heart quivered at that.
He bit his slightly numb lips; Ye Linyuan’s front had been roughly wrinkled by his grip.
“That’s because of the honey.”
“Not that.”
Tong Sui felt the hand in his hair trailing down to grasp the nape of his neck.
Rough fingertips rubbed over his tender skin.
Tong Sui felt like he had fallen into a trap he couldn’t escape from; he might struggle a bit, but he would never fully break free from his control.
Tong Sui lifted his head, proactively brushing his lips against the corner of Ye Linyuan’s mouth. “Can I sleep in the same room with you tonight?”
“Mm.”
After Tong Sui received the answer he longed for, as he tried to withdraw, his neck was suddenly gripped with force, pushing him forward.
A familiar kiss came crashing down.
Ye Linyuan kissed him thoroughly, as if wanting to sweep through every corner.
Tong Sui could no longer stand.
The wine seemed to hit him all at once; he felt dizzy and weak. Just as he was about to slip to the floor, he was caught by another hand in time.
His ears turned bright red.
Ye Linyuan lifted him up and carried him into the room.
Ye Linyuan’s room was decorated in the same style as the outside, with a gray bed, a bedside cabinet, and a wardrobe.
It was so simple there was nothing extra.
Tong Sui pressed against the soft mattress, being kissed back and forth a few times before finally being let go.
Ye Linyuan got up.
Tong Sui heard the sound of the wardrobe opening and thought they should be able to sleep in the same bed tonight.
Ye Linyuan passed him a set of pajamas from the wardrobe. “It’s new; I haven’t worn it before.”
