Tong Siyan solemnly responded with a soft “Hmm,” then instructed the driver to speed up.
The secretary was speechless.
Last time, when someone crashed a mecha and broke their hand, they probably didn’t look as serious as Tong Siyan did now while undergoing surgery in the hospital.
The hover car quickly arrived at the destination.
After getting out, Tong Siyan rushed to the medical room. The weather was hot, and he walked quickly, making the typically dignified CEO appear a bit flustered.
He pulled back the curtain of the medical room.
From Tong Siyan’s angle, he saw Tong Sui curled up, holding a hand against his face and sleeping sweetly.
The owner of that hand had his back to him.
Just from the broad shoulders and narrow waist, it was clear that he was not an omega.
Tong Siyan’s forehead twitched as he recalled Tong Sui blushing while saying he had someone he liked. He opened his mouth, “You—”
The figure turned around.
Tong Siyan nearly choked on his own saliva.
Ye Linyuan??
Although he received news from Ye Linyuan, he never expected that this former classmate, known for being unapproachable, would actually spend time with a new student and even willingly lend his hand for comfort.
For a moment, Tong Siyan didn’t know whether to be moved by his dedication or be grateful that he had indeed shown special care for his younger brother despite his verbal reluctance.
Ye Linyuan’s expression was unreadable, and he gestured for Tong Siyan to step outside.
Tong Siyan nodded and exited first.
Ye Linyuan attempted to withdraw his hand.
Tong Sui, likely still in a deep sleep, was somewhat resistant, but ultimately allowed Ye Linyuan to leave.
Ye Linyuan stood outside the medical room.
His dark eyes fixed on Tong Siyan’s bright red hair. Aside from this common feature, Tong Sui and Tong Siyan had very different facial characteristics.
Tong Siyan was also observing this long-unseen classmate.
He had to admit that compared to himself, stuck in an office job, Ye Linyuan’s physique was quite impressive, subtly revealing the contours of his muscles.
It wasn’t the kind of decorative muscle; Tong Siyan knew all too well how terrifying Ye Linyuan’s strength was.
Tong Siyan asked, “How is my brother?”
“He took his medicine, and his temperature is normal,” Ye Linyuan replied. “I wanted to ask you, what’s the name of the person he likes? I think it’s necessary for me to communicate with him.”
Tong Siyan was taken aback.
Seeing his complex expression, Ye Linyuan frowned, “Is it something you can’t say?”
Tong Siyan replied, “Actually, I don’t know either.”
Ye Linyuan was silent.
Without him saying it, Tong Siyan felt he had slightly failed in his responsibilities.
He confessed, “Tong Sui refused to tell me. I was worried that the other person might be after his family background, afraid he would get deceived, which is why I wanted to ask you.”
Ye Linyuan’s expression darkened a few shades.
Tong Sui’s previous state was already quite alarming.
“I’ll keep an eye out.”
When Tong Siyan realized what Ye Linyuan meant, he excitedly patted his shoulder.
“That’s great! Hearing you say that puts my mind at ease. I’ll leave Tong Sui in your care.”
If this were during their school days, Tong Siyan would have felt quite envious of Ye Linyuan, who was talented and courted by all the professors. Yet after graduation, he realized that Ye Linyuan truly possessed outstanding capabilities.
If he could reach Ye Linyuan’s level, he would probably walk with confidence.
Moreover, despite Ye Linyuan’s cold demeanor, he was surprisingly warm-hearted.
He was willing to help with such trivial matters.
Ye Linyuan glanced at the shoulder that was patted, paused for a moment, then shifted his gaze.
____
When Tong Sui woke up, he found his hand empty, startling him into sitting up quickly.
When he noticed Ye Linyuan sitting not far away, seemingly handling tasks on his holographic computer, he let out a sigh of relief.
“Awake? How do you feel now?”
Turning his head, Tong Sui saw Tong Siyan and paused momentarily, “Ge, what are you doing here?”
“Director Ye is an old classmate of mine. He called me over,”
Tong Siyan approached and sat by his bedside. “You should thank him; he brought you here and stayed to take care of you.”
Tong Sui blinked, looking at the bite mark on Ye Linyuan’s sleeve.
The hazy memories he initially wanted to forget rushed back, and he reflexively thought it was just an illusion.
Ye Linyuan asked, “Are you fully awake now?”
Hearing the implication in his voice, Tong Sui softly hummed, not daring to look at those dark, penetrating eyes, his ears turning pink beneath his messy hair.
“I won’t do it again next time…”
Tong Siyan watched their interaction and gently rubbed Tong Sui’s tense back.
“Don’t be afraid; getting heatstroke wasn’t intentional. Besides, Linyuan is a good person; he agreed to help me take care of you at school.”
“Ah?”
Tong Sui seemed caught off guard.
He thought that after doing something so inappropriate, Ye Linyuan would see him as a casual person and keep his distance.
Tong Sui stared blankly at him, his eyelashes fluttering slowly, resembling a trembling butterfly.
“Can you really?”
“Yeah,” Ye Linyuan replied. “You don’t want this?”
Tong Sui quickly shook his head, “I do.”
It was as if he feared that someone might change their mind.
Tong Sui turned to look at Tong Siyan beside him, “Ge, you heard that too, right?”
“Yeah, don’t worry.”
Ye Linyuan wasn’t the kind of person to make empty promises, but since he said it, he would definitely follow through.
“It’s getting late,” Tong Siyan said. “Are you hungry? Should I take you to eat? Linyuan can come too.”
“Sure!”
After hastily finishing his sentence, Tong Sui turned to Ye Linyuan, “Is that okay?”
