The assistant replied, “I don’t know.”
He had already been out once today; why was he going again?
They arrived at the shooting range.
Those who had just been boasting about being sharpshooters fell silent.
Very few hit the target.
Although Tong Sui wore protective gear, the barrage of gunfire made his head throb.
He raised his hand and pulled the trigger, missing the target.
He pulled the trigger again, still missing the target.
Tong Sui thought, “…”
After finishing a whole magazine, his target remained untouched.
He had missed completely.
In a way, that was quite impressive.
As he lowered his head to reload the bullets, a skeletal hand reached out, and he turned his head.
He met a pair of deep black eyes.
Ye Linyuan?
Tong Sui was stunned for a few seconds; while he was still dazed, the bullets had already been reloaded.
Ye Linyuan grasped Tong Sui’s hand and stood behind him.
His voice rang softly in Tong Sui’s ear, deep yet exceptionally clear.
“Pay attention.”
Ye Linyuan carried a chilling aura that somewhat subdued Tong Sui’s anxiety. He swallowed hard and barely focused on their hands touching.
Ye Linyuan’s palm was wide, completely enveloping Tong Sui’s hand. Due to years of training, calluses lined the insides of his palm.
With a shot, the bullet flew out and accurately struck the bullseye.
He did not pause.
He fired continuously, with all bullets passing through the original hole.
After an entire magazine, only a beautiful bullet hole remained.
The entire shooting range fell silent.
What terrifying power was this?!
Tong Sui slowly began to react to the situation.
He turned his head; if Tong Sui moved a few centimeters closer, his lips would touch Ye Linyuan’s neck.
Ye Linyuan lifted a finger and removed Tong Sui’s earpiece; his cool fingertips lightly touched Tong Sui’s hot ear.
“Did you find any feeling?”
The coolness around his ear was soon replaced by heat.
Tong Sui did not answer his question; he bit his dry lips and stared intently at Ye Linyuan.
At that moment, Ye Linyuan seemed like a block of ice radiating chill.
Ye Linyuan asked, “Do you have any questions?”
Tong Sui remained silent.
Ye Linyuan frowned slightly, “Shall we do it again?”
It seemed that in front of Tong Sui, his patience was always considerably more than with others, even he did not know why.
“Ye Linyuan.”
Tong Sui softly spoke.
His voice was somewhat soft and hoarse, every word seeming to pulse in his heart.
Tong Sui leaned forward slightly; their already close lips touched directly.
A wave of warmth pressed against the skin of his neck, as if the blood in his veins surged with this heat.
Tong Sui leaned weakly against him.
Ye Linyuan felt temporarily dazed.
But he quickly reacted, extending his hand to catch Tong Sui’s light body.
The warmth sprayed eagerly against his neck.
Ye Linyuan slipped his hand beneath Tong Sui’s clothing; his back was completely soaked with sweat.
“It’s so uncomfortable…”
Tong Sui nuzzled against Ye Linyuan’s neck like a little cat, but the skin there was already imbued with heat.
He felt somewhat dissatisfied.
His dazed gaze instinctively searched for a cooler place to rest.
Ye Linyuan lifted him into his arms, holding him close and scanning the surroundings.
The prying eyes all shrank back, fearful, pretending to be busy.
“You all continue training,” Ye Linyuan said, “he’s feeling unwell; I’ll take him to the infirmary.”
After they left, various monkey calls erupted in the shooting range.
“I can’t believe it! I’m getting dizzy just from watching!”
“How intense! Forget going to the infirmary; I’d believe it if they went to the hotel next door!”
“I get it now, it turns out I don’t dislike Alphas, I just dislike the ugly ones. I could eat ten of someone as delicate as Tong Sui.”
The infirmary was a distance from the shooting range.
Tong Sui curled up in Ye Linyuan’s embrace, his consciousness starting to blur, and his behavior grew a bit bolder.
His fingers clutched tightly onto Ye Linyuan’s fabric, wrinkling it as he refused to let go, fearing that the next moment he would disappear.
Ye Linyuan took his little actions to heart, his steps steady and swift as he navigated the school grounds.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain at his collarbone.
Ye Linyuan frowned slightly and looked down.
Those deep black eyes were too profound; simply gazing at him felt like staring into an unfathomable lake.
Tong Sui could not decipher the emotions within, loosening his lips in guilt.
On his collarbone was a clear, tiny bite mark.
Tong Sui murmured, “Does it hurt?”
Before Ye Linyuan could answer, he continued on his own.
“I’m sorry, I bit you too hard.”
Seemingly trying to make amends, he leaned down to the bite mark and gently kissed it as if to soothe the wound.
Ye Linyuan noticed Tong Sui’s shoulders trembling unusually.
He halted and tilted his chin up, forcing Tong Sui’s head up.
On that unusually flushed face were tears, his eyelashes clustering with moisture; he bit his lip tightly, leaving deep marks.
Ye Linyuan wanted to wipe his tears away, but Tong Sui grasped his hands with both of his, pressing them against his face.
Those clear eyes were filled with mist; it looked like he was questioning but also pleading, “Why won’t you kiss me?”
Tears and kisses fell into his palm.
