If it weren’t for his fame and that iconic red hair, he would be disoriented and mistake this for a beautiful omega joining them.
Little Fatty cautiously spoke, “Brother Sui, it’s getting late. Let’s go eat together. I used to volunteer here and I’m quite familiar with the area.”
“Sure,” Tong Sui replied, “Do you know where the dean usually eats?”
“Ah?”
Little Fatty was momentarily confused by the question. “Are you talking about Ye Linyuan?”
He glanced at Tong Sui’s excited expression—was he trying to curry favor or just playing a prank?
“Brother Sui, why are you asking this?”
Tong Sui stammered, “I—I’m just curious. Doesn’t the notice say his name? I’m curious about what kind of person he is.”
“He should be in the first cafeteria on campus since it’s closest to the office. But it’s quite a distance to walk there.”
“That’s fine, I’m not afraid of the distance,” Tong Sui said as he stood up from the bed and took Little Fatty’s hand. “Let’s hurry!”
Little Fatty was surprised and widened his eyes in astonishment.
Although Tong Sui only touched his hand briefly before letting go, he was still amazed by that delicate texture.
To think that an Alpha’s skin could be so soft.
What was he thinking about? He wondered to himself.
Little Fatty tugged at Huang Mao and followed Tong Sui out the door.
They instinctively fell half a step behind Tong Sui, like little sidekicks.
Even so, they felt incredibly satisfied.
Having a chance to interact with the Tong family was an opportunity most people could only dream of, and it had just landed in their laps.
As Tong Sui stepped out, the sunset bathed the scene in large swathes of orange-yellow. By the time they reached the first cafeteria, the sky had darkened.
The first floor of the cafeteria was crowded.
Most of the people inside were new students who had just enrolled today and weren’t in uniform.
Little Fatty said, “The first floor has regular windows, but the second and third floors have some specialty foods, though they probably aren’t open yet today.”
Tong Sui quickly scanned the area, but he didn’t find the person he was looking for. His eyes lowered, revealing an unmistakable hint of disappointment.
As expected.
It was already far-fetched to encounter that unlikely event once; how could it possibly happen again?
Having been keenly observing Tong Sui’s expressions, Little Fatty cautiously asked, “Is the environment too bad? If so, we can go out to eat instead?”
The military academy had a semi-closed management style, allowing them to leave between class and lights out.
“There are many good restaurants nearby, and the omega bride academy is also around here. We might even run into a few eye-catching people.”
“No, let’s just stay here.”
Tong Sui obediently walked to the window to queue up.
He didn’t push; he just stood and waited.
However, when the classmates in front turned around and saw him, they all showed expressions of shock, exclaimed “Oh no!” and scurried off to other windows, fleeing as far as they could.
Many of the new students here were from the preparatory academy.
They were somewhat wary of this illustrious figure and didn’t want to take any chances.
Tong Sui quickly finished getting his meal.
They found the only empty table and sat down.
Little Fatty’s entire plate contained no vegetables whatsoever.
Tong Sui had little appetite and chose only light vegetarian dishes.
Little Fatty and Huang Mao chatted with each other.
Tong Sui didn’t pay attention to what they were saying; he was somewhat zoning out, staring at the entrance of the cafeteria.
As night fell, the streetlights outside flickered on.
Amidst a gaggle of giddy new students, a figure wearing a black T-shirt suddenly appeared.
Tong Sui excitedly bumped into a nearby bowl of soup, creating a clattering noise.
“What’s wrong?”
The two who were conversing turned to follow his gaze.
“We actually bumped into him; our luck is just too good to be true.”
Ye Linyuan was handling some school-related documents, which had caused him to be a bit late.
After finishing his meal, he looked around.
Suddenly, he spotted someone standing and waving enthusiastically at him.
The red-haired boy’s eyes sparkled, pointing to the empty seat across from him, “If you don’t mind, you can sit opposite me.”
Ye Linyuan certainly remembered their encounter in the hospital corridor, even though the other party had mistaken him for someone else.
He hadn’t expected to see this boy again so soon.
It seemed he was indeed a new student this year.
Ye Linyuan approached.
Little Fatty and Huang Mao tensed as he walked over.
Ye Linyuan asked, “This time you didn’t mistake me for someone else, did you?”
Tong Sui quickly shook his head and whispered shyly, “Y-Ye Dean.”
His voice was small and a bit unfamiliar, as if saying this name was like confessing some awkward secret.
Hearing his voice, Ye Linyuan felt a tickling in his ears.
He wasn’t surprised that Tong Sui knew his name; he softly acknowledged with a hum and sat down across from Tong Sui.
He glanced at Tong Sui’s meal and lightly frowned.
“You’re just eating this?”
It was all vegetarian; it felt like he was feeding a rabbit.
Ye Linyuan surveyed Tong Sui’s thin shoulders, noting the injuries on his hands—far too slender for an Alpha.
“Um, this is enough.”
Is it really enough?
Ye Linyuan picked up his chopsticks and moved a portion of his food to Tong Sui’s plate, “Eat more.”
Tong Sui was taken aback.
After this action, Ye Linyuan was also surprised.
He typically kept a distance from others and never engaged in intimate gestures.
Offering food to the person in front of him was almost an instinctive reaction for Ye Linyuan, and even he felt it was a bit out of character.
This was only the second time he had met this red-haired boy.
